“First impressions when walking into this place is that they’ve clearly tried to set themselves apart here in terms of decor. Environment is modern yet also warm with a few individual touches that gives the place personality. We came on a weekday so the bar on the ground floor was pretty empty but can imagine is a good place to have a couple of drinks before headed upstairs to the restaurant. There is a good range of meats and seafood on the menu, and with a good selection on the set menu choices also. Although did enjoy the food nothing really “outstanding”. “Situated opposite the church in the High Street. The venue serves breakfast, lunches and dinner, it also serves cocktails and has a venue at the back you can hire out. On this occasion we went for dinner, We had a bottle of prosseco , my partner had Classic Nachos and I had Mediterranean Halloumi for starters, for main my partner had Steak Fajitas and I had Spicy Fish Pot. The food was excellent as was the service and staff. Well worth a visit it caters for all tastes vegan etc.”

“What a gem of a place. Driven past on many occasion, liked the look of the decor. Five years later I finally found myself in there and can honestly say I shall be going back. Considering the quality of the food and service provided there, this one place is very reasonably priced. They make a mean cocktail too. Not to be pushy, but you ought to try it!”

“The pasta is very good. Seafood is fresh. Every time I come to UK I will come here. The size of the soup is big, I never seen this soup bowl before in other restaurants. Forgot to take photo of the soup. Size of pasta is also huge enough for two ladies.”

“The Sunday roast is fabulous. I had the veggie option and my partner had roast beef. Both were ample portions and very, very tasty. Staff can’t do enough for you and Lauren the manager is so welcoming and makes everyone feel like a regular. It’s a great example of a traditional pub.”

“I was really impressed with how efficiently and professionally your barista dealt with the lunch rush and a queue, while his colleague arrived late and still want ready to help out a few minutes later when I was leaving. This young man needs a promotion.”

“Went here for my birthday, the atmosphere was quite nice. The drinks were extremely reasonable and at the time we arrived (16:30) it was two for one on cocktails. The staff were extremely friendly, we were served by Gemma (apologies if this is spelt incorrectly). She took the time to accommodate us and even moved our tables as the party next to is were definitely getting their party on! Whilst the food did take a while to come out, it all cam out at the same time and was very good for the price. Lots of vegan/vegetarian options too Gemma was an absolute sweetheart, she brought out the cake at the end of our meal and even offered to take pictures of the event. We were to sure to leave some cake with the staff because they deserved it!”
