“Best Chinese food in the area, good prices, great portions, the menu has a wide range of different food to choose from including Vietnamese and Thai food and it always tastes great - especially the salt and chilli king prawns. The takeaway food is also of a high standard. Staff are very friendly and always make you feel welcome and it feels more like a family kitchen that serves home cooking than a cafe or restaurant which i think is really nice.”

“I had the Haircut, Shave, Wash package. In one word the experience was - heavenly. The Haircut was on point. This was my first experience getting a hot towel shave. It was very smooth with no nicks or burns. At the end, a 5 minute massage was thrown in as well (for free). 10/10 would recommend.”

“I have been trying, for years, to find a place that does decent dip powder nails and I think I've now found it! I am allergic to gel polish and tried dip powder, a few years ago, in Yorkshire, where my family live. It lasted a lot longer than gel (It didn't chip at all, even after many weeks) and looked lovely. Better still, it contains fewer toxins than gel and no UV light is needed. I've tried many salons, down here, but with no luck (even when it was put on nicely, it didn't last well, as only 2 colour coats were used and the topcoat wasn't applied properly etc.) At twinkle tips, 3 colour coats were used and the nail technician was really quick and extremely neat (I am a perfectionist!) The colour looks great and my nails are shaped exactly as I wanted them. Many thanks Twinkle tips! :)”

“I tried the Fish & Chips for the first time at Poseidons and I was pleasantly surprised. 10/10. I called them to place an order for 1 Large Cod and Regular Chips, asking the proprietor can you cook me a fresh cod with my chips, and he said, no problem, there’ll be ready in 10 mins. Just long enough for me to walk to Poseidons from where I live. I enjoyed them very much and will be ordering the same again, when I don’t feel like cooking at home. Highly recommend, and the customer service was top notch, very welcoming and kind. :)”

“I have only used Maggie from the very start I have been going to her for a few years now. I can say from the moment you step into the saloon to the end it’s a first class service they know how I am with some treatments and are very careful and this is what I like as this is something they have noted and always kept in mind. Maggie will always give good advice for example if I need my lip filler done or not this is also something that is good as this shows it’s not all about money and she wants her clients to look good. I have had fillers, Botox and facial treatments and will not go anywhere else.”

“Sorry, but I have to disagree with the previous bad comments. I have used this chemist for nearly 47yrs now. Aaron and his team for many of them. He looks much younger than he is. He was a young man when he arrived. All the ladies are professional and helpful. Aaron himself has looked after both my husband and myself with great respect. He has improved the chemist no end, with all the diverse items now on sale. He has even had the front done, so his customers, if needed, has somewhere to park. As far as I’m concerned they are a great team and a credit to our row of much improved shops.”

“Went here for the first time 3 weeks ago and I've been there for the last three Saturdays. I like it. Had really good food and really good service. I've given it 5 Stars because I think it's worth more than 4. Reasonable prices and the fact that you can take your own drink makes it a cheaper night. Definitely worth a try.”

“The Drill opened its doors again today and I just popped over for a couple of drinks and a meal, both of which were excellent! I can't wait to sample the whole menu in the future. The new and old staff were super friendly and the manager Wayne was very welcoming and was clearly running a well oiled machine. Their social distancing measures seemed to be working well and it felt like a safe environment to relax in. Being a pub garden fan though I was most impressed with their refurbished garden - outstanding! See you again soon!”
