“Lovely food. Attended twice in two days. Really authentic food, with traditional flavours and mixed variety of dishes. Sadly the 'hot' dish isn't very spicy but the flavours are mixed and varied. Food was served piping hot and very quick”

“Best Chinese takeaway/delivery in Chelsea I am oriental and have tried so many Chinese takeaway/deliveries in Chelsea or surrounding areas for years, but I couldn’t find the one I really liked until last night. My points of choices for takeaway Chinese are 1) reasonable price (it has to be takeaway price not restaurant one) 2) food qualities and quantities are matching to the prices 3) tasty - no point eating cheap and bad food 4) reliability and honesty 5) good ingredients - no cheap substitutions 6) delivery without relying on food delivery companies (this is optional but I prefer food delivered by themselves) 7) good communications. I found very hard to find the one which filled all the boxes, especially if they deliver. Oriental Kitchen Express got all the ticks! We ordered Vegetable Hot and Sour soup (very tasty but my husband thought a little low in umami - since it’s vegetarian, it might be. If there’s a meat version, I would have chosen it but only seafood and vegetarian ones were available. I found it still yummy. Good flavor and balance of chili & sourness was very good) Crispy squid with chili (much better than my expectation. Often this dish by takeaway is rubbery and no flavor with too much salt to hide the cheap ingredients) Beef slice with mixed veggies with crispy noodles (noodles were still crispy and beef was tender and mix veggies were really mix veggies including straw mushrooms - often cheaper substitutions), Kanpo chicken with egg fried rice - this is their version of kanpo chicken and if you are thinking of Sichuan dry kanpo chicken, don’t order it. It’s more like chicken sweet and sour but it is yummy. It contains water chestnuts and tenderly deep fried chicken and crunchy water chestnuts combo is a very good harmony. They are in business for 27 years and are proud of their food and service. They proved it to us last night. We are very happy with them. It was a recommendation of my oriental friend and it will go to my friends with words of mouth. Hope they continue keeping their standards!!”

“I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was, and had an excellent meal here. The kway teow was fantastic and really authentic. Service was great and all the dishes arrived really quickly. Prices are slightly higher than you might find elsewhere, but I think it's generally fair for the quality you get.”

Was full on the Friday we attended so would recommend booking to ensure availability. “Eating more traditional Chinese food meant travelling up to China Town in central, now there's no need. Mandarin Palace offers some amazing authentic Chinese food. Haven't tried the dim sum yet, but plan to. Highly recommend the Thai style chicken feet!”

“Ate early evening so only 2 other tables 6 people in total in the restaurant. Great dishes, wonderfully prepared. My only comment is that the food gets cold quickly, hot plates or dish warmers are not used on the table, so if you're wanting to chat and eat, you food could be a little on the cold side.”

“Wonderful family owned Thai restaurant. Very chic, wonderfully comfortable and definitely Instagrammable. The kitchen was situated in the bar area so was essentially an “open kitchen”. Customer service - Service was excellent - friendly and warm, typically Thai…service with a smile. Washroom - The bathroom was beautifully decorated and clean. Food - took a little long but tasted absolutely delicious. Beautifully presented and the flavours were authentic. For starters we had the ribs and spring rolls. Both were exceptional. Ribs were wonderfully flavoursome and succulent. Spring rolls were generously filled. We had mains from their lunch menu. Again aesthetically pleasing and delicious. The flavours took me back to Thailand. Couldn’t fault the food. Drinks - extensive drinks menu and a good selection of mocktails. We had a peach and lychee fizz but was a tad too sweet for my liking so I ordered water to dilute. Price - it was a birthday treat but the menu on the prices were a bit pricey for everyday lunch but definitely worth it as a treat. Would I return - YES!! Loved the food, loved the service, loved the decor YES YES YES.”

“Gyu Don: The beef was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. Chilli oil doesn't make sense at first, but the peppercorns really enhanced the meaty flavors, while the spring onions kept things light. Beef juices flow down to the rice, which is authentic to Asian culture. (Just one thing, if the chef is reading this, what are the cashews doing there?) Kitsune: The udon noodles are slightly hard to the bite, and the fish stock could be more flavorful. However the abundance of finely chopped green onions and the piece of fresh, quality tofu made up for this Japanese working class staple.”
