“Went to this amazing restaurant in the neighbourhood. I always prefer to eat meat but this time this vegetarian restaurant served the purpose very well. I ordered Aloo Piyaz thali with sweet lassi and everything was on point. The kind lady from staff was very helpful. Ambience was great with good choice of punjabi music. Overall a very pleasant experience. 9/10 Definitely going back very soon”

We ordered a fish curry, channa masala, bhatura, lamb curry, butter chicken, sheekh kebab plain rice, coconut rice, plain and onion/chilli naan. “Had a great experience at Apna Des. It was late night and they were about to close but they were kind enough to serve as as their last customers for the day. Ordered Chicken Karahi and chicken biryani and got the suggestion for Garlic naan which was really amazing. Both of the main courses were lovely, loved the quantity too. Staff was really helpful specially Annie, kudos to her. Overall: 9/10 Definitely going back very soon”

The food was so tasty that it dominated everything else at the party and everyone loved the dishes. We were surprised to see people voluntarily taking home the extra food and glad to say not even a small piece went to waste. “Had great service here. For a Turkish spot with great competition within 1 mile, the food is prices extremely decent! So many complimentary goods including salads, sauces, breads, turkish tea etc. We did not get turkish tea but we know that would have been amazing just like the rest! First time trying a cheesy hummus, absolutely amazing! Very unique flavour and very filling. Beead was freshly served and steamed up. Salad was to die for. I feel like some turkish places can get salad wrong even though it is very simple. The rice and bulgar (you can do half and half) was sooo moist and buttery! The donner itself was pretty standard. However the lamacun was the cherry on top. Service was A1++++++++. They were very attentive. Super fast and thats why we tipped voluntarily. Thank you guys.”

“Lovely Keralan food and friendly service. I went there around 5pm on Saturday and was not busy at all. The staff were very friendly and polite. I had masala tea and masala dosa. The tea was very nice and had that typical Indian spice notes. The dosa was lovely , accompanied by Sambar and coconut chutneys. It was all very tasty , especially the Sambar, which had a very authentic taste. I can definitely recommend this restaurant for someone who fancies some Kerala food.”

We forgot to book in advance (as they get very busy on weekends - make sure you book if you want to go!), but they still very kindly accommodated us. We were extremely impressed - The food was all excellent, all delicious and properly cooked, arrived quickly. Service was amazing too, waiters and management were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was good. A lot of families, parents with infants and groups of friends. Bathroom was very clean, well-equipped and the decor is up to date as well. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, I'll be coming again!”

Free dates and salad to help break a fast despite being Christian. A very nice touch and well recieved. If only all religions were so welcoming. Price was wonderful and definitely value for money. “Spice hut is a chain, I have been to many of them, the consistency in the food and service is excellent. The chicken tikka biryani is on the spot here and the portion was generous. I do not believe it would have been possible to fit all that into a takeaway box if I wasn't eating in. There's only a few seats, the best way to enjoy this place is probably to takeaway.”

If you want well cooked food then visit Al-Qasr. Al-Qasr meets health & safety standards, we saw a point on entrance for hand gel etc. Good gap in tables.”

“Halal chinese food. Really quick and good service. You can pick any carbs: rice, egg fried rice or noodles. Then you can add any toppings on top, they have lots to choose from. The chinese curry and thai curry were both very nice. They do dry dishes too like caramel chicken. Reasonably priced and has lots of seating available too. Would recommend!”
