The English Grill
“Great atmosphere, high quality service and food. There was a lady singing as well. We had tartare (prepared infront of us) that was fantastic. Also the burrata with avocado on toast with smoked tomatoes, was good too. We pre-booked the beef Wellington. Perfect medium rare, large portion. Adding the starter was really a lot of food. Robert the waiter was really prepared and recommended the perfect wine for our dinner. I think this place doesn't have 1 Michelin star just because the dishes are very traditional but the entire experience is exactly like being in a starred restaurant.”
Brook Green Pub
“Beautiful place to stay. Food and drinks outstanding! Let's don't forget about the Smith's Cocktail Bar!”
Enjoy Cafe London
“really nice cafe and cheap enough , food was good and very quick service , will defently be back”
Hand in Hand
“This is definitely one of my favourite pubs in the Wimbledon area, it’s so nice in the summer months and nice and cozy inside in the winter. Being part of the Youngs pubs in the area I’m surprised they have so many, and they survive, but I’m glad to say they are surviving. They always have a nice selection of beers, today we had a proper local ale the “Wimbledon Brewery Pale Ale” which is such a great local brewery. They had a nice warm fire burning, but due to our timing we needed to sit out side and they have a great out door area. I can’t comment on what the food is like at present, but historically I have always felt satisfied, but like all the youngs pubs in the area, especially compared to my locals it is slightly punchy. For example 3 beers and a pint of Diet Coke came to £21 I’ve included a picture of the toilets as a lot can be said about a pubs toilets, and these were nice and clean and well maintained. Our only gripe is that the glasses were a little dirty, it looked like the dishwasher filter needed changing. Not enough to complain about and embarrass ourselves. It looked like lemon or lime fragments, which I’m not so precious I had to take my pint back and complain about.”
Star & Garter Pub
“This pub continues to be one of the very best in London. Always an exceptional range of keg beers available from the elite of craft beer. Their cask beer is always incredibly well kept, perfectly conditioned. The staff are also really sweet and helpful, and their hand soaps are always fun. Quite simply - the best pub in London.”
Bull's Head Pub
“Was a great place! Service was fantastic and the food was excellent. This is now our favourite place to eat locally.”
The Three Horseshoes Restaurant & Pub Radlett
“Went there to celebrate my birthday with my family. What a lovely evening. Food was great, lovely wine(Viognier) and the service was excellent. The manager there is fantastic, he really looked after us and I must say I cannot praise him enough. That is what service should be like in a world where a lot of businesses have taken their eye off the ball regarding looking after the customer. Thank you again for a lovely evening.”
The Rabbits Pub and Restaurant
“Booked last minute after trying to find somewhere locally for a roast. Can only say wow, most definately the best roast we have had out in a long time! Delicious. Not cheap but where is nowadays. Highly recommend.”
Rose & Crown Pub
“Really tempting and varied menu and portion sizes were good. Fish cake starter was delicious, with the salted beetroot and dukkah wellington was an interesting and filling take on a Sunday roast”
Toolans London
“Nice place nice atmosphere one of the ladies behind the bar was called Jane so friendly and helpful wonderfully!”
The Pilgrim Pub
“A fantastic pub run by a fantastic team of dedicated competent staff who not only go out of their way to ensure their customers are very well looked after, they also go out of their way to help other pubs out in the area when ever they can. I work in a pub in the area and know I can always call on Jason if I need anything. The food here is really good and well presented. Thank very much guys for not only running a cracking local SE London pub, but for also supporting other pub businesses in the area.”
The Grange Pub
“It’s the most accessible and inclusive pub in Bermondsey. It combines the atmosphere of a pub and good quality restaurant in one. There are few pubs in the area you can enjoy a drink in the warmth and actually be able to hear and have a good conversation with friends. It’s beautifully decorated and has a back garden with heaters. It has a friendly vibe - staff like to get to know customers needs and even if you just want to come a chill out with a book in peace you’re completely welcome. * Dog friendly * Chilled space with wifi to work or read * Lovely food - real pizza oven * Great atmosphere which encourages good customers * Zero tolerance for rowdy or aggressive customers * Good selections of drinks and wines As a female, I often enjoys a quiet drink with a book after work. In other pubs in the area I can find myself being harassed or males come, sit and wont leave me alone despite my requests. I’ve never had a problem here. The owner and staff are clear this is a space for everyone to feel comfortable and have a zero tolerance for rude, rowdy or aggressive customers.”
Innkeeper's Collection Dulwich, London
“We arrived well after the latest check in time and received a warm welcome. The staff were great, room was nice and the pub was excellent.”
The Bull Hotel in Wrotham, Sevenoaks
“Hired the Buttery for my Mum's 90th Party, excellent service, excellent room, excellent buffet. Also stayed one night in one of the lovely guest rooms, breakfast was really good. Staff, Venue, Food, Drink, Accommodation all first class.”
The Winchmore Pub
“Nice local Pub great Garden with an egg chair. Helpful friendly staff. Good atmosphere and can't wait to pop in again. Good location near me in Edmonton North London. No food just drinks being sold! Where is the Chef? We need food please.”
Beaumont Fish Bar Traditional Fish & Chips
“Been going here for over 20 years, love it service is great food is delicious especially the lacmachuns from the wood fired oven. Greatly recommended”
Queens Head Pub & Kitchen, Gastropub, BBQ, Smokehouse, Garden
“I loved the atmosphere. Hunters style, comfy seats. Woow the food is awesome. We had Steak and cheese platter, tried various deserts. Outstanding is the word. I would recommend and rate it 11/10. The bartender served cocktails not only from the menue and no request is too much. Thank you for everything. I would love to come regularly”
The Old Sergeant Pub
“We have been regular customers 4 years ago, but because of bad management and rude attitude, we stop visiting The old Sergeant. This Sunday we accidentally pop up for a beer and we had a chance to try one of the best Sunday roast. I'm quite picky regarding the food and I have been nicely surprised but the new owners, friendly staff and delicious food. I would recommend it again.”
Inn 1888 Pub & Pizzeria.
“Traditional interiors and exceptionally friendly proprietors, Enzo & Gabriel — this pub is great for a quick drink on your way or as a local, where you will always get a warm welcome. A good tip is to sit outside on picnic tables and watch Marylebone flow by (and if the tables are all busy, you can stand around the corner in the mew, the brassed windowsills to hold your drink).”
The Alma Pub
“Fantastic service. Friendly and helpful staff who went the extra mile to make the stay pleasant. Great room with comfortable bed. Slight hiccup with getting the TV switched to Sky. But compensated by the great interaction with Eddie.”
The Porchester Pub
“Visited Porchester in Bayswater Cormac the Manager extremely friendly and great service. Food first class when in London folks you must call in to The Porchester and experience the very best. Love it 5 stars. Just ask for Cormac he will look after you.”
Prince of Wales - Brakspear Pubs
“A really nice friendly place. Just what you would expect from a typical London pub! Not posh and poncy like lots of London. It's what you would call a local. I'm not from the area and was just looking for somewhere warm to have a drink and relax during my lunch break. Felt welcome from the first foot in the door!”
The Windsor Castle Pub
“Great place. Staff were amazing. Food (pizza) delicious. Will be telling friends and coming back.”
London Hospital Tavern
“Lovely vibe since the management changed. The team seem like a family which makes the environment feel so welcoming. Good prices and a cracking pub quiz!”
The Rose & Crown, London Bridge (PUBLOVE)
“Experience great, trying a burger, sure it will be fine. Very busy with lots of happy people. A great place. I am a bit confused as the boss says it's a backpacker hostel. Ok but £164 a night, guess I am out of touch. No criticism (in any bad way) but did not realize it was that costly for people to get a room for the night. All done, this is an excellent place, great fun and friendly. Take a bow!!!”
The Builders Arms Pub Chelsea
“Really good pub!! They turned it into a cool restaurant with a lovely terrace on the street. The service is great and food is amazing!! Seriously, you cannot miss it when you are around, specially if the weather is nice and you can seat outside. See photos for any recommendations.”
Green Man Pub
“Hotel rooms are lovely, and certainly make up for the commercial look of the hotel exterior. Food nicely prepared BUT it was the staff that made my 3 night stay the best. Professional and attentive. Thank yiu Klara, always busy but pleasant and jovial throughout.”
The Barley Mow Pub Mayfair
“I booked The Snug at The Barley Mow for a client lunch event. From beginning to end the experience was delightful. We booked for canapes then the feasting menu and it was excellent. Top marks for the gorgeous bread and creamy butter, vegan shepherds pie and moist chicken. We shouldn't have fitted in the amazing sticky toffee pudding but we just about managed. We had overwhelmingly positive feedback from our clients about the whole experience. BIG shout out to our main host Belle who could not have been friendlier and more accommodating. It would be nice if they offered to save you a space in the bar if you've booked the Snug and wanted to continue but we managed to find a corner that worked to continue the party. Thanks all, we'll be back!”
The Elephant and Castle Pub
“Excellent pub, unpretentious, with a nice buzz. The staff seem to be genuinely nice people who want to do a good job, which seems to be rare these days. I'm very happy to have found this place. It has two lovely real ales, the session ale is particularly nice and very reasonably priced. For that reason alone, I'll be going back.”
Ye Olde London
“I’ve walked past this pub for many years but had never visited until today. To be honest its name and proximity to St Paul’s Cathedral put me off, as I wrongly assumed that it was a tourist place. Really friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. A much bigger space downstairs although closed on a quiet January afternoon. Loved the huge wooden balustrades that dominate the street level bar area. A Greene King pub but I was happy to find Timothy Taylor Landlord on draught. Even a garden out back - a rarity in The City of London. A hidden gem in plain sight!”
