“This is definitely one of my favourite pubs in the Wimbledon area, it’s so nice in the summer months and nice and cozy inside in the winter. Being part of the Youngs pubs in the area I’m surprised they have so many, and they survive, but I’m glad to say they are surviving. They always have a nice selection of beers, today we had a proper local ale the “Wimbledon Brewery Pale Ale” which is such a great local brewery. They had a nice warm fire burning, but due to our timing we needed to sit out side and they have a great out door area. I can’t comment on what the food is like at present, but historically I have always felt satisfied, but like all the youngs pubs in the area, especially compared to my locals it is slightly punchy. For example 3 beers and a pint of Diet Coke came to £21 I’ve included a picture of the toilets as a lot can be said about a pubs toilets, and these were nice and clean and well maintained. Our only gripe is that the glasses were a little dirty, it looked like the dishwasher filter needed changing. Not enough to complain about and embarrass ourselves. It looked like lemon or lime fragments, which I’m not so precious I had to take my pint back and complain about.”

“North London Tavern is such a vibe! came here twice.. once for a gig and the live music was amazing! second time was for a work event and Dean was so accommodating. We all had such a lovely time and such a vibe! Definitely be back”

“Perfect! We had booked a twin room but wanted a double bed so contacted them to request if we could be swapped to a double room. When we arrived we were told we had been swapped to a triple room at no extra charge. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was comfy. (We didn’t have breakfast). Can’t fault our experience”

“As you maybe aware I’m a big foodie who loves dining out in the finest of restaurants. But when it comes to choosing wine we either go for the countries that we know or we leave it to the recommendations of the sommeliers. So with this in mind we wanted to broaden our horizons let’s say by learning more about wine in general ie taste , smell , tannins , acidity etc. with the additional knowledge of knowing what wine wine is good value for money and which style of wine goes with which style of food. So we gave it some thought and approached our good friend and drinks expert Alison Taffs at the Hop Inn Hornchurch our local micro pub to see what she thought and because it was only going to be the two of us if it would be worth her while. But after a little chat we discussed a budget so it would make her time and effort worthwhile. We gave her a couple of weeks to put together a format and gather some wines to taste and talk about. This led us to sunday when our tasting would take place. We arrived at the Hop Inn and our table was laid out in the corner. You could see straight away that Alison had put a lot of effort into this to which we were very grateful. She had laid out tasting note sheets , an iPad screen displaying various information and a list of the six wines we would be tasting. She decided that we should keep the discussion to european wines and in particular Portugal , France , Austria & Germany. Her knowledge was incredible as she guided us through the different stages of tasting wine. This begins with appearance which will include the colour. This is followed by smell , condition , intensity and the character. Then it’s time to taste to find out if the wine is sweet or dry as well as how much acidity , length , body and tannins. To finish you would decide what type of food you would match the wine with. We followed this by talking about pricing and what wines from specific regions when you look at a wine list are good value for money. This information really was invaluable and will certainly help us in the future. We’d personally like to thank Alison for a fabulous wine tasting afternoon. To listen to her knowledge and passion really was a pleasure and we definitely got more out of this than we first thought. I would highly recommend if your interested in wine to arrange a session yourselves whether your a couple like us or a larger group you will certainly benefit from her vast experience in the industry. We’re certainly looking forward to booking another session with her soon”

“Possibly the best Greek "eatery" I have visited in London. It's mix restaurant/souvlaki place, so you can have Greek style fast food, or have a proper meal from a great selection of Greek flavours. I found it very reasonably priced, they offer large portions and the flavours are pretty much authentic! Well done guys, keep up the good work.”

“Just got back from our honeymoon at hotel 41. They took very good care of us! Everyone knew our name and was always there to help right away. They genuinely care about the guest and try getting to know them. Asking how their day went and suggesting things to do. I have never stayed at a hotel like this before and will be back!”

“I am a big fan of Dishoom for many years now and have tried all branches around the UK. This is their newest and closest to me, so I gave it a go today. I was very happy with the atmosphere and the food was consistently as good as always! The front door are super nice and helpful. The service was not as good though. “Went once for their afternoon tea and another time for brunch. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious, and the staff are warm and friendly even with how busy it is. If you’re going for brunch I would recommend getting there before 11 to beat the rush as it does get very crowded in there on the weekends.”

“They have huge variety of freshly prepared tea and cakes. It’s a family run business, everything is being homemade and tastes authentic. Their pink tea is the best I had in long time so highly recommended. Karak chai is different and tastes amazing. Also tried kheer and cakes which are good to try. Located on Hendon high street next to Hendon mosque and Aladin restaurant, plenty of parking options in nearby streets.”
