“As a Palestinian, I was very happy to see a place like Akub open in London. This quaint & cozy space serves innovative twists on traditional Palestinian cooking. Dishes like the Short Rib Fatteh, Bukjet Mousakhan & Shish Barak with Beetroot are delicious & pleasantly light. The dessert, especially the dead sea salt chocolate cake, is out of this world! Akub also serves Palestinian arak, wine & beer, so you get to enjoy a Taybeh or 2 with your meal ;) The decor is on point too - tasteful cultural symbols minus the clichés (no flags or rifles, though of course the spirit is that of Free Palestine).”

“Absolutely fantastic coffee shop. They have delicious coffee and pastry. It's our regular stop in Hanwell. All the coffee is so nice like Americano, latte, flat white. The cakes are always nice. I love the carrot cakes, cheesecakes, Victoria sponge, dates and walnut cake and so on. We tried them all :) the interior is also so calm and well designed. The only thing is the broken of wifi. I think that's an essential for a coffee shop.”

Even though this place was busy with families enjoying Legoland, it's quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. They get busy at the weekends and half terms by looks of it, and the very helpful staff members were keeping us regularly up to date with when our food is coming.
