“I love Thai food but rarely enjoy it because either it isn't authentic or it's freaking expensive. This place makes me enjoy Thai food the way I like it - Authentic and Great value for money. The food is made and served by a great bunch of women from Thailand. They cook most food to order and they taste so authentic. We ordered: Spring rolls (£3.50) - which were okay not superb but okay. Prawn (£5.50) and Chicken (£5.00) Pad Thai which were so amazingly tasty and perfect quantity. Even the kids enjoyed eating them. Prawn Green curry with rice (£5.50) - yummy and wish it had a bit more Of the gravy as it want enough for the rice provided. Finished off with a milkshake (£2.50) - reminded me of the shakes you get in Asia. Tasty! The staff are amazing and friendly. They don't talk much but when they do they are polite and smiling. The seating is limited as they share a market. Located well. Parking is available right outside this market at £1.30 cash only for an hour. Overall I'm glad I found this stall. A bit away from Dartford but if I'm in Gravesend or craving for a nice Thai food, I know where to go!”

“Edit 11 April: just ordered from Tuk Tuk for the third time and omg whomever was cooking tonight, kudos to them! Absolutely incredible and took me right back to Thailand! Loved the Tom yum rice and the chilli and basil pork stir fry with coconut rice!!! Holy WOW!!! 5 star and the best Thai takeaway in the area! Ordered drunken noodles, pad Thai and tom yum fried rice from here and I have to say, whilst it’s one of the best Thai’s in the area (Purley is seriously lacking), it could still be better. The pad Thai was lovely with lovely large prawns but the sauce tasted like it was from a jar rather than authentic tamarind. The drunken noodles were smokey and didn’t taste like authentic pad kee mow, but the Tom yum fried rice, in spite of not being fully authentic, was amazing! Really good flavours and good sized prawns. Overall, it tastes like someone not Thai, making Thai food. Apologies if this is incorrect, but just the way it came across in the cooking. Yes, I would definitely order from Tuk Tuk again as it was mega tasty, but it’s personally not authentic enough to satisfy my Thai craving.”

“Really delicious food and lovely staff. Pictured for starters are pork skewers with coriander sauce (delicious!!) and chicken satay skewers. Mains were thai green curry with chicken, and thai red curry with duck, lychee and pineapple (the sweetness of the fruit really cut through the richness of the curry. Would defo recommend.”

“Great choice for takeaway, but we decided to have a sit in meal in this small and cosy establishment. Wonderfully fun ladies cooking and serving us. And the food was delicious and authentic. My friend's beef Pad Thai was a little chewy, but my beef Masamam was excellent and succulent. They just need to bump up the 3 star hygiene rating to draw in more punters.”

“My wife and I have been exploring the area and this was our first restaurant experience at St Alban's. Firstly, the food is halal and were cooked fresh. Secondly, the rear garden was cute and a romantic spot to spend with your partner.”

“I was so surprised! From the outside it looks small, cramped and not special. However once inside it is so lovely, clean and classic. Everything is pristine and the staff are friendly. We over ordered because we planned on taking a doggy bag home, instead the food was so delicious we over ate and couldn't even make room for dessert. So far, not the best pad Thai in the area taste-wise, but still a good dish, very light compared to the competitors in the area, didn't feel stuffed after eating it, very tasty prawn crackers, I loved them, same with spring rolls. We'll definitely be back! UPDATE: went there for dinner. It is now my absolute n.1! So much better than the delivery, taste is great, portions and prices absolutely fair. Went back twice already!”

“I love Thai food, and this restaurant has been a wonderful surprise! Loved it!! Three of us went for a lunch catch up social, and had booked some 2 weeks in advance, and got the best table in the house, and note this is a very small bistro! First great thing, the list of choices is so long, and you can go a la carte, or set-menu. We went for the latter, 3-course - which turned out to be the best choice! I had the teriaki skewers for starter, it came really quick, and had this peanut sauce that was dreamy! My friend had a soup, and gave me a taste, it was so good! I may ask for soup next time! My main was the low-risk green curry, which i asked very mild, and so it came! Absolutely Gorgeous green curry!!! my friends were more adventurous, and had all the kick of strong Thai spices in theirs! For dessert, I asked for this Thai Tea icecream, as my other friend had ordered Thai Tea as a drink, and it was a little like a milk shake, and she gave me a taste, so I decided to go for the icecream! Best decision! Thai Tea icecream is the best icecream I tasted! ^_^ This Bistro in Gloucester Road/South Kensington is a gem! Will definitely be coming back for more, and soon! :)”

“Where to eat Thai food outside thailand, it's here baby! Located in a 5 star hotel, the venue is next to the tube station and walking distance to paddintong station. As you enter the hotel to make your way to the restrueant, you feel immediately calm unlike if you are on the street Infront of the resturant and there are people around you that you need to dodge and avoid. The resturant is is smaller than what I had imagined but i guess by having it smaller it feels more intimate, the staff are from Thailand ( I swear they probably know the menu inside out ) friendly and very happy to recommend any food. You can smell food all around you and while you wait for you food, you keep looking everywhere to see what people are eating or have ordered. By the time the food is served, your starving! The food is delicious and the flavour reminds me of asia. Come and try, I am sure you'll never regret it! Food is delicouse, the flavour does remind me of Asia, the smell just makes you hungry”

“I came here for a late dinner with a group of three. We ordered the classic sharing platter which came with a good amount of food for sharing. The chicken satay were really delicious. We also shared three other dishes including the chicken pad thai, chili and basil stir fry with minced beef, and the green curry with prawns.”

The food is real Thai taste with fresh ingredients, and generous portion, the price is cheap, the quality of the food is better than expensive restaurants. The place is clean with lovely decorating and the staff is friendly and professional. I ended up order more food to take away back home. “My sister and I went to see a play at Tower Theatre on Northwold Road, Stoke Newington, London N16. When we left we were looking for somewhere to go eat. I jokingly said how about the Thai cafe over the road. She said ok. It’s actually a cafe restaurant. We looked at the menu in the window and decided to go in. Price is reasonable. It’s cosy and intimate, clean and fresh. We ordered and didn’t have to wait long for our food which was presented well and piping hot. Oh my goodness. The food is amazing. Bursting with flavour & colour, cooked to perfection (no soggy veg.) I’ve had Thai before but this tops them all Staff were clean and polite. I definitely, definitely recommend a visit if your in the area. They also do take out and delivery. Oh yeah. I plan to visit again”

“We passed through for some dinner before attending an event in Leake Street. The food was absolutely divine. We had the breadcrumb prawns, which were massive and super delicious. I had the pork dish, which was cooked with crunchy, green beans and chillies, and served with rice and a fried egg on top. A really good portion - I have a big appetite, and struggled to finish it. My daughter had tofu, served with green beans, chillis and noodles, also with an egg on top. Will definitely eat here again”

The spring rolls were so lovely and crispy on arrival as the restaurant had purposely cut the corner of the take away container to avoid them steaming up en route.
