Cafe Yukari

The matcha latte was not sickly sweet and it was just right like the Japanese way. One lady even gave me a free complimentary biscuit. If you are fan of japanese drinks I would HIGHLY recommend. One of the best and you won't regret it :)”

Do not be put off by the price if desserts, we had the chocolate sphere and it was worth every penny. Our host was lovely send really friendly. Vunch Café
● Open“Not vegan but we visited this café a few days ago and had a fantastic lunch. Two really delicious salads with pitta bread and roast (??) veg. Meant to take a pic of food but ate it all so a pic of empty plates instead. : ) There are also sausage rolls and paninis. There are lovely cakes too and I loved the vanilla cheesecake . Everything freshly prepared and cooked. Very clean place and friendly staff who are happy to explain vegan food. Would be nice if they had something written down explaining more about vegan food though; meat substitute salad dressings etc.. Don't be put off by vegan food - its delicious! Will be back soon.”

Café 108
● Open“I love this place! It's one of the local cafes in my area and its been a staple for a quick breakfast or lunch run while working from home. My family and I occasionally go and have Sunday brunch as well. The staff are always friendly and the clientele is varied to say the least (keep fit groups, cyclists builders and families) but the cafe is doing something right as everyone keeps coming back! Great portion sizes and a varied menu means all tastes are catered for. The only thing I would advise is getting there at a good time as it can get really busy and you may have to wait a while to get a seat inside the main area (they do have additional seating at the back of the restaurant with patio heaters if it gets a bit chilly).”

The Tea Cosy
● Closed“Was looking for a local cafe for a vegetarian breakfast with good reviews, we were originally going to another cafe but luckily we decided to try this little gem! We were warmly greeted and seated quickly (given we are in the midst of COVID19). We were given paper menus and all the tables were socially distance well with a track and trace QR code on the door too. It was really well protected and safe for the patrons of the cafe. Our order was taken and we were served an amazing fresh breakfast with a tea each, for me it was a perfect portion (not too much and not too little) and filled me up. Refills were free which was great value given that they came free with our breakfast. The food is fresh and tasty and I highly recommend the vegetarian to fellow veggies or those wanting a leaner option. The hostesses were all friendly and lovely people, from a little chat when ordering to a joke when paying, it made this little cafe pop out and make it feel more like you were at a friends or family members kitchen for brekkie. I only have praise for the ladies (didn’t see any men but if there was them too). Cost was shockingly low and when we were presented with the bill I thought something was missed off but I was told nope that’s all it is, I will be going back for all the reasons listed above. Plus at this price it makes it hard to even make my own brekkie for less. Highly recommend this to all and remember to tip and support these business in these times, they are going above and beyond to keep us safe. Huge thanks to all of the hostesses (and hosts)!”
