“A really old London boozer by the Thames, friendly and efficient staff, it's got a small balcony on the ground floor and smaller balcony on the 1st floor with nice views of the Thames. A nice range of Real Ales which are well kept, I haven't tried the food yet but looks good and a nice menu, if You like old pubs it a must.”

“The best (and certainly the biggest!) Sunday roast I've ever had. Beautifully cooked, nicely presented and a great selection of vegetables to go with the lamb. The Yorkshire pud was ginormous - tasty. None of us could manage the generous helping of roast potatoes. The waiters helped us to our seats to make it easy for our elderly father. The biggest bravo goes to the Chef/s- we saw three of them churning out the meals from our seats. Overall, top marks.”

“Really the best lunch place in central Ealing. Delicious food (all kinds of wraps and salads, big portions) good value and good service. The chicken with roasted vegetables and hummus wrap is my favourite, but there's something for everyone - lots of vegan options. Cakes, juices, good coffee, what's not to like? Gets busy (bit of a crush at door with people waiting to pick up takeaways) but there's usually seating free inside and it's a friendly atmosphere.”

“Lovely hummus and Mezze bar. Felafel burger with humus dip pitta and chips. Absolutely amazing. Will definitely be going back for more. Great staff and great service. I've been back 2x since I wrote this review. Each time has been great. Food is always great and so is the coffee. I learnt the hummus is made in house. It is tasty. I managed to persuade them to provide me with some to take home. I love the falafel burgers, they are absolutely delicious. Chips are fantastic. The staff are engaging and friendly. Can't wait for my next visit. Have come back several times since my first visit. Had a Kofta wrap with lamb and chicken. It was delicious. This visit I had an organic whole 100% beef burger with fries. Absolutely amazing.”

“Modern ukrainian cuisine. Really enjoyed it. Service was excellent and helpful us choose what dishes we would like. We had a delicious drinks as well. It’s a little bit expensive however I think it was worth it.”

“Excellent food, very tasty with a lot of variety. They had a good Gluten free selection of starters and mains but sadly only ice cream for dessert of you're gluten intolerant. That aside we had a fantastic evening celebrating my birthday, they accommodated 26 of us in the lovely conservatory area. There is an accessible toilet with rails and raised seat but it's in an awkward position where staff are very busy. All in all I'd say I'd go back and recommend the food.”

“Unbelievable service here, very attentive and engaging the food was TO DIE FOR. Only minor was the sharing steak (pictured) we felt should have chosen a larger size as we both thought it wasn't QUITE big enough, our fault, not theirs. The wine (pictured) is some of the best I've ever tasted as is the garlic bread starter (pictured). Will definitely be returning but at over £200 for 3 people probably only for special occasions. Thank you again to the staff here, truly exceptional!”

“They have been wonderful to us over the years. When I had my first baby I used to walk down the hill sit and have a glass of wine with the dog and baby. So warm and kind to me. Food is ace! Service is ace! I especially love the way they cook the lamb. Yum yum. We are loyal customers for life!!”

“I was there yesterday at a lunch party for my uncle and Aunt’s Diamond Wedding Anniversary. The food and the service was really wonderful and a credit to the Haven. The food was beautifully presented and served hot. The room was elegantly decorated for 25 guests seated at a long table. Nothing was too much for the staff, I was so impressed. With everything thank you so much for making it such a special day.”

The staff easygoing and attentive, making you feel welcome for real, and paying attention throughout your stay. The food is excellent. Everybody in our company ordered different things, and all had their "wow, this is so good!" moment. We were so happy to realize something like this is available in our area. It was our first visit, but surely not the last.”

For gluten eaters - the homemade pasta was truly delicious in every dish we ordered. Wine - great, you can tell it's what they do. It's pricier than your neighbourhood italian: count 30 pp for main and wine. However, for the quality (gastronomic) its great value.”

“Excellent and traditional Mexican food. Honest product and top quality, good selection of tacos and larger plates. Service is good but could be a bit more welcoming. One thing to improve is the wooden plates used to serve the tacos: they don’t look great. Ceramic plates (as used for all the other dishes) would do a much better job.”

“This restaurant is within a hotel and the ambience within this restaurant is amazing! Very cosy and felt relaxing and comfortable. Ordered escargot for starter and it is one of the best French food that I can get in central London. The mains were divine! Lobster Thermidor was cooked into perfection and cheese just melt into your mouth. Loving the rib eye steak, medium rare juicy and tasty!! Definitely would recommend people to come here. Although the price of the food is on the higher end, however worth visiting.”

“As a Palestinian, I was very happy to see a place like Akub open in London. This quaint & cozy space serves innovative twists on traditional Palestinian cooking. Dishes like the Short Rib Fatteh, Bukjet Mousakhan & Shish Barak with Beetroot are delicious & pleasantly light. The dessert, especially the dead sea salt chocolate cake, is out of this world! Akub also serves Palestinian arak, wine & beer, so you get to enjoy a Taybeh or 2 with your meal ;) The decor is on point too - tasteful cultural symbols minus the clichés (no flags or rifles, though of course the spirit is that of Free Palestine).”
