“Have been to Scarpetta a number of times and it does not disappoint. Seating is limited so would recommend booking. Tried a new starter for a change (mussels) which were nice but a little dry. I had the prawn pasta for main which I cant fault- tasted very fresh and was a good sized portion. I will definitely be returning”

“The food was very good. Friendly waiters. Wait was not too long. We had a booking. The menu changes regularly. The highlight for me was the agnolotti – pork cheek & porcini butter. The pasta and the meat were cooked perfectly, and the accompanying sauce was amazing as well. The other two I really liked were the octopus with paprika and the calamari with the white sauce - very tasty as well. The crab spaghetti were alright. For dessert, the rosemary, olive oil, almond cake was a very good blend of savoury and sweet tastes (I was excited when I saw it was with olive oil). Overall, strong recommendation for the place!”

“Great place and SUPER friendly staff, coffee is brilliant! There’s a bar there as well which opens around lunchtime which is a great touch. Definitely recommend and much needed in that location. The ONLY thing is I would like to buy pastries from there but unfortunately they use a supplier who supply a couple of places in Canary Wharf who aren’t the greatest bakers. Everything is massive and a bit undercooked. That said I still 5 star them as it’s a great coffee shop.”

“Delightful home away from home pub. This was my local spot while studying in london a decade ago. I took a group of hungry colleagues here on a trip down memory lane- unfortunately, we missed the kitchen closing by a few minutes, but the staff was kind enough to whip us up some burgers. Super welcoming and helpful staff. Would wait out the apocalypse here 10/10”

“Lovely lunch, the shellfish ( prawn cocktail) was super tasty and served in the prettiest of bowls. The monkfish and prawn curry spicy but not too hot and a really good consistency. My partner had the fish stew which he loved. Our friend had the fish pie, this was delicious, comfort food with elegance.”

“This place has one of the best food we’ve had in London on our journey so far. The cheese croquette and meatballs are very delicious. We had the arroz negra for mains and it was quite an experience. I would definitely order them again.. The most memorable thing, though, must be the service. Our young server Mohammed was absolutely friendly, helpful, and very accommodating from the start. We could only get a table outside so he made sure it was warm. He was very good with our two young children. He has a great sense of service and sense of humour, and went to extra lengths that we were happy. Great guy. Fantastic place. I would recommend it highly.”

I also found the ambiance and service of very good quality. Definitely earns its place on the Michelin guide. The premises is small and more suited to take away although there is some space to eat in if required. I will,definitely be returning and suggest you call in too!!”
