“Pit stop and we were so pleasantly surprised. Lovely staff, ever so polite, patient and attentive with everyone that was there at the restaurant that evening. Absolutely loved the food; such good quality, very tasty and good size portions. Also, the food came hot and ready to eat, very happy about that (as I love my food hot)!! I would totally recommend this place if you are passing by. The reviews are not 100% making this place justice. The only thing I would have to say is that they are a little pricey compared to many places in and around London area.”

“It was my first time ordering with Apple at ‘Real Thai Cooking’ and it was absolutely gorgeous! What was brilliant was the fact I could order earlier in the day and secure the time I wanted for delivery that evening. When you’re juggling kids and bedtime routine that’s so great! Apple was super helpful and I even got a text to say the food was on its way. Great service, we will definitely order again!”

“Simply put, your bucket list is incomplete until you’ve tried this incredible little restaurant. Chef Mo welcomed us like long term locals and served up the most authentic roti & chicken curry, beef rendang with coconut saffron rice, and teh tarik. You just can’t find food this delicious at a price like this (£10 per main) in London anymore, and it’s conveniently right next to Kilburn station. Throw in some good stories from the Chef about Sabah and durian, and I’d give it 9 out of 5 stars if I could. Do yourself a favour and go see Chef Mo and Chef Wan pronto. Whatever they cook you will serve whatever ails you. Terima kasih Chefs — we’ll be back very soon to try the gado gado and laksa.”

“One of the best italian restaurants in London can be found in Tooting Market (and probably even better than a lot of italian restaurants in Italy!!) The food was amazing and you can taste all the super fresh ingredients perfectly cooked! I cannot wait to visit again! Pictured: - Calabrian spicy prawns in tomato served with sourdough - my ultimate favourite dish, the sauce is amazing and prawns were cooked to perfection! - Burrata with heritage tomatoes & black truffle vinaigrette - Croquettes - wild mushroom served with salsa rossa - Pumpkin Gnocchi - Vermicelli, smoked salmon, prawns and spicy capers - Slow cooked beef shin Lasagne - Affogato - Tiramisu - by far one of the best tiramisu I have had in my life and I have been to Italy a few times!”

“Had lunch using their lunch deal. The food was very tasty, freshly cooked and with good ingredients. We tried noodles only and thought their spice level and cooking was super! Main course portions were very good. They made my pad si ew spicier for me, which I really enjoyed. Note: The soup picture was taken after I had eaten some, hence not the best picture sorry. UPDATE: their panang curry is delicious and freshly cooked for you, as you can tell by the lovely crunchy textures of its vegetables. Good thickness and level of spices, so aromatic!!! After years eating their food they're still top of the list in the area for us :D”

“It is Awesome Thai! Really good flavoursome food. If you are Vegan then options are limited but waitress did help out to navigate the menu as most dishes contain fish sauce or it is fried in the same oil as meat. Highly recommended especially tryout their papaya salad, simply refresh full of flavour of Thailand! Oh and it does get busy so might have to wait a while for service.”

“Regular visitor to EV - fantastically friendly staff who go above and beyond to make sure everyone is comfortable, and top notch food. The lamb steak is a firm favourite amongst the group, but we've not had a single dish we dislike. Highly recommend the spring rolls, crispy squid, and morning glory veggies, too. Excellent value - my fave Vietnamese spot in London.”

They offer you chop sticks or cutlery so you've got the best of both. Your baguettes are delicious simply the best! Definitely going back for seconds!”

“I have been to so many Thai restaurants in London and nothing took me back to Thailand like this restaurant. The food was fantastic and tasted like you are in Thailand. The best way to enjoy it is to share food with friends. The place was nice and cosy. The staff were excellent and made our experience great. I could not have asked for more. Do I go back again? Most definitely yes. It is worth the travel. I highly recommend everything but my favourite was the chicken curry and Pad Thai. Thank you”

“The food is great. The tamarind duck was perfectly cooked and not too sweet. The coconut rice was delicious and the beef massaman was anogher great choice. Unfortunately there was only one waitress so she was a little overworked but still gave great service. We'll definitely be visiting Mai Thai again.”

“Really amazing bbq!!! myself and my partner had a well generous portion of the bbq platter (medium size) a long with Kimchee Pancake and pork dumplings. Overall, service was great, very attentive. Nice atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back again :)”

“In times like these it's a blessing to have a place like Thai #1 so close to us. It's important to remember that all their food is prepared fresh, so the meat always tastes good, the vegetables crisp, and the sauces have that just out of the kitchen freshness that you just don't get in similar places. Best place for Thai food outside of Bangkok itself!”

“We had dinner here yesterday! Absolutely loved it! Generous servings, home cooked meals and very friendly staff. We had beef brisket pho and satay chicken for main which are both very tasty, but the highlight of the night for me was the mixed starters of prawn toast, satay skewers, spring rolls and ribs - postios were very generous, everything tasty and was not oily at all unlike other shops. Will definitely come back to try the clay pot dishes and maybe the buffet too!”

“Decent Vietnamese restaurant! Salt and pepper shrimp was yum, and vermicelli was spot on. Beef pho had more than enough meat with well balanced soup. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming. Our server was super sweet as well.”

“Was offered prawn crackers and water as soon as we came in. Was amazed by the variety of dishes and the waitress had a lot of patience and came to the table when we were ready to order. We ordered prawn summer rolls, prawn friend wontons, Charsiu bun, chicken hue-spicy noodle soup and Bún Cá Chiên - Deep friend battered pangasius fish served on vermicelli noodles. The starters came out super fast and the fried shrimp wontons were piping hot, the summer rolls were fresh and the charsiu bun was piping hot all the way through and flavourful. I had the chicken hue-spicy noodle, had a strong enough kick to the broth, generous with the chicken strips in the soup and was provided a small tray with the lime, sliced red chilli, bean sprouts and coriander which were all added. The whole dish mixed was full of depth and flavour and the temperature of the dish was fresh and hot. Would visit again 100%”
