Once you have found Chrome Road which is a narrow road leading to the centre you will see a sign for the Slade Green & Howbury Community Centre, under that Haberdashers' Aske's Crayford Academy the primary phase. This is next door to Slade Green Primary School. This brand new building has amazing facilities for community users and for hire, great library with new books for all, very good interior design, with a reading den for children. Huge wall mounted pictures of the surrounding area add a real touch of class in this light and airy place. On site is also the Crimson Cafe which serves Barista Coffee, latte, cappuccinos and more. “Lovely friendly pub. Beautiful decor. I found myself at a loose end and decided to pop in while I was waiting around for my car to be fixed. Glenda and Caroline took me in and looked after me and even provided me with a charger for my phone. I ended up being there long enough to have a gallion burger for dinner which was really lovely. I'm very glad I popped in and will definitely be back. Back garden was gorgeous too”
