“Me and fiancé love this place. We went recently for my birthday and (without asking) they sung me happy birthday and gave us a free slice of cheesecake (it was amazing). It’s such a welcoming and comfortable place and the food is always amazing - we’ve never had to complain.”

“The food was amazing and fresh. The service was great. There was ten adults and at least ten children so you can imagine how loud our group was. The staff dealt with us professionally courteously and they were great with the kids. The portions were a good size and we had so much left over. The taste of the fresh food was on point. Edited 17/2/23- I’ve visited and order from here many times since my original review, the food is always great, however, the time I wait in the restaurant and delivery have always been too long, if eating with the kids I avoid visiting and ordering, as the wait is too much for the kids. Have waited upto 40mins in restaurant and even collecting orders waited over 20mins when I have called in advance.”

“A lovely little treasure, on the canal walk from the Aquadome. Home made cakes and very good sandwiches. Always a pleasure to go there. Very popular with the locals which is always a good sign. I guarantee you will not been disappointed with whatever you order. Very popular in the sunny months.”

“Excellent quality of steaks we were three of us and I ordered the Rib Eye which was like butter. All accompaniment dishes like the stem broccoli with French beans and Mac and cheese with a Caesar salad went down very well.Also the house red wine was superb choice. Would definitely come again as the manager was very approachable and a pleasantly joking gentleman.”

“Excellent Lunch! Wimpys are not everywhere these days, but this one is well worth a visit. Friendly greeting, attentive staff, excellent food and a spotless restaurant. Some places charge 4 times as much and are not as good as this! Heavenly smooth, tasty milkshake, tasty burgers, and a bender that is just wow! Highly recommended.”

“What a Gem of a place. Seemingly, in the middle of nowhere. Arrived by taxi from Uxbridge, booked a table prior to a evening's entertainment cabaret show at the local Memorial hall, "When we are Married". The Black Horse, is warm and inviting, we stopped though not long enough to get a drink as Franco the host ushered us through to the restaurant and upgraded our table seeing that we were quite burly lads. We took a prime table with surround views of the entire establishment. Was warm and cosy with the din of family and friends in full conversation and laughter. For aperitif we had a Negroni and my brother had a Aperol spritz and a bottle of white wine with the mains. I had a Slow cooked Pork belly with Savoy cabbage and dauphinoise and an additional dauphinoise, an absolutely and fabulous meal the entire meal was delightful. Will cherish the fabulous moments and foodie memories (yum-yum). Staff were very accommodating and Chef was as pretty as her food delicious. I wanted to stay, though sadly had to go.”

“Having just finished a 10 mile walk, i was famished. This place was a gem i found by accident. My friend and i asked if they had a table as the place was rammed. The very efficient lady in charge was able to squeeze us in if we promised to be done in an hour as the table was reserved. Food looked gorgeous but i just opted for a snack which was dirty fries with beef and cheese”

“Owner always greet you and friendly, quiet enviroment during day and busy at night. Thai food served here as Joy of Thai restaurant. Good Thai foods and reasonably cheap with portion you can share if you are not that hungry. Lunch served at noon at bar area and evening at top floor separated with bar which busy every evening. During COVID the area set a giant tippy in the garden.”
