“The best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to! I’ve been coming here for years with my family and we absolutely love it. The staff are beyond lovely; they are so friendly and accommodating, truly superb customer service. The food is outstanding; there is a massive variety to choose from, and the food is always fresh and tasty. I recommend the Beef with Black Bean and Garlic Sauce, or the Chicken with Mushrooms, and for dessert the Toffee Banana is excellent. I cannot recommend this place enough and hope to continue coming here for many years to come!”

“The only reason the room did not get five stars was a few little things that were evident but did not affect my stay. The ceiling above the air con showed black mould? And the clip on the toilet seat was missing but the seat worked just cosmetic. The room was big and there was a good quantity of coat hangers I did ask for more drinks and milk, staff was efficient. And pleasant and very helpful. Parking at night can be a bit tricky I came back late and all the spaces were full. I managed to squeeze in. Even though it was full the hotel was quiet.”

For hot food on the go or for a quick lunch this is the place to go. I recommend going for the chicken fried rice hot. Good selection on the menu to choose from and there is something for everyone who likes Asian eating.”

Marie (who took the booking) was really helpful and lovely and the woman who came was incredibly thorough, and also just lovely. She was very mindful of smells and product near me so warned me when she was cleaning near me and was just generally fantastic all round. Highly recommend.”

“Always busy in there. Food came out quickly. Was a bit disappointed that they had taken alot of salads off the menu. I know its winter but it's so mild and they are a nice healthy option. “We stayed here for the second time this year as loved it so much. It is a beautiful hotel, gorgeous historic rooms with spacious bathrooms, very comfortable beds. The Angel bar is great fun to go in the evening and enjoy music and cocktails. Guildford as a town has a lot to offer and after a busy day exploring Guildford you can enjoy a restful night sleep in a beautiful period room. The reception staff on arrival were brilliant and the staff in the evening and at checkout were brilliant. Professional and friendly and very welcoming. Looking forward staying here again soon.”
