Relaxed atmosphere pub in Dartford

“Went to the Growler stop for first time last night. Great, helpful and pleasant staff. Lovely welcoming atmosphere. Very extensive beer menu that the staff will help you with. We sampled quite a few across the range, pale ales, ipa’s, bitters and stouts and they were all lovely. We will be returning and next time our wives said they’ll come with us and sample their gins :-)”

“Best pub about for Miles. Lines and Glass's are crystal Clean. It's a Locals Pub but one which is very Welcoming. Always has 4 Ales on and 2-3 Guest Ales. Staff are Polite and Pub is kept spotless. Land lady is Brilliant reason Pub is Very Popular.”

“I used to be a regular drinker at the Pied Bull before moving away. I returned this weekend and was very pleased to see that the place is still as welcoming and friendly as ever, with fab staff, delicious food and plenty of drinks options. It's dog friendly so my two cockapoos enjoyed the visit too, with lots of fuss from the welcoming staff and even a treat or two! I will definitely be visiting again when I'm next in the area!”

“If I could rate 10 stars, I would and that's mainly because of our server, Catherine. From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, attentive, and couldn't be more helpful. We took my 94 year old Grandmother for lunch and was joined by my auntie who was celebrating her birthday. Catherine noticed this and arranged a lovely birthday dessert for her. The whole afternoon was perfect. The restaurant is stunning and the food was incredible. We will definitely be back.”

“Got there by accident as me and my kids were just passing through the area and stopped for something to eat. Place was packed and it seemed that we should have a reservation to make it easier for everyone (Sunday afternoon) but staff was brilliant and very helpful so they managed to get us a place to sit. Food was amazing, place have a great village pub vibe to it and people who work there are very professional. Prices are very decent. One of the best pubs we visited so far. Highly recommended if you are around.”

“Staff are really friendly and the food is great. Beer garden is excellent in the summer. The location, right by the mill and the river just adds to the quaint vibe. The iconic bridge which is at least 500 years old really adds to the character of Farningham. This pub is amazing for families and we often take our kids who enjoy being outdoors. “Ive driven past this little gem for years but recently went in for the first time for a 'baby shower' party. The pub is a fair size and has a wonderfully proportioned function area (which I hear from my friend was free to hire!?). The staff were amazingly welcoming and made me feel as though I was a local punter. Prices were average for the area and all in all, I had a wonderful time. Only thing to watch out for is the carpark at the rear of the pub was overwhelmed, maybe due to the special function that day. I found it easier to park on the road around the corner.”

“Lovely big pub with plenty of space: booths, tables and hi tops. Lots of natural light from the large windows around three sides of the site. Ornate art-deco around the bar with interesting lighting options. Guinness was excellent as was the Doom Bar.”
