“Nice little cafe with free Wi-Fi, excellent choices of cakes, croissants and a number of other things to go with a great cappuccino or espresso. Very friendly staff members who ask if there are any nut allergies when serving any cakes. Croissants, cookies, etc. Parking is round the corner and free as long as you pick the right road. The cafe was not too busy. There was seating there so we could. We had seating upon arrival”

“Couldn't recommend Thea enough!! I've used a few hairdressers over the last 5/6 years but never found a hairdresser I wanted to go back to and always hated the outcome of my hair. I really can't recommend Thea enough from Roxbys! She really listens to your concerns and exactly what you want to do with your hair. I will not use any other hairdresser and only trust her with my hair. Her colouring skills are insane and I always leave the salon beaming as I'm so happy with her work. I've shown her pictures of hair I like and she always give her professional opinion whilst achieving the closest colour match possible. She recommends products and tools for your hair depending on what you're looking for but doesn't pressure you into purchasing any products and makes you feel comfortable about your choices. As well as this, she's such a lovely kind hearted girl and always makes me feel comfortable. She puts up with me messaging her every few weeks/months with new questions or queries I have with my hair and is always really helpful and patient with me. I always ask for Thea but all the staff in Roxby's are polite and make sure you're well looked after so even if you don't book in with Thea I'm sure you'll leave just as happy as I do.”

“Been here for about a year now so have been many times. Lovely friendly salon. Sara does my hair and am always happy. What I do love is that when your hair is washed, it's never rushed. So many places can spend literally 10 seconds rinsing hair. Jess usually washes my hair and always spends time plus a lovely head massage. They have a loyalty scheme too. Book an appt !! ;-)”

“We love this venue. It is a beautiful space for parties or weddings if you book enough in advance to get a slot. The rooms have views over the park, the events team are really helpful. The ceilings have stunning wedgewood style designs. There is an air of faded grandeur that we really loved. The team recommend reliable caterers and a lighting business who know how to make the best of the venue. Highly recommended.”

“First impressions when walking into this place is that they’ve clearly tried to set themselves apart here in terms of decor. Environment is modern yet also warm with a few individual touches that gives the place personality. We came on a weekday so the bar on the ground floor was pretty empty but can imagine is a good place to have a couple of drinks before headed upstairs to the restaurant. There is a good range of meats and seafood on the menu, and with a good selection on the set menu choices also. Although did enjoy the food nothing really “outstanding”. Friendly, happy staff who run a clean and homely place to stay. Walking distance to anything one could possibly need, with Beckenham being one of the more relaxed towns that I visited. “A little gem tucked at the back of the Cutting Remarks hair salon in Beckenham High Street. This salon is run by Karti for whom no request is too much. I have been going for a number of years now for a range of treatments: Henna eyebrows and lashes LvL Threading Waxing Facials and Indian head massage. Karti is hands down the best threader, swift, precise, with a keen eye for balance. I also love the henna tinting which is alot more durable than standard tint. Have recommended to local friends and neighbours who agree. Where do I start with the facials; a combination of surface techniques that leave my skin very smooth, glowing but includeing a robust muscular massage. I have struggled to find a facial/massage that matches in any weekend spa retreat or in high Street salons elsewhere this far south of London. The head massage is incredible, invigorating, strong and producing the best night sleep after. My other half says after an afternoon in Karti's I appear rejuvenated. High praise from a chap who normally doesn't notice these things! Karti always tried to accommodate in her busy schedule and I would highly recommend Karti festival for anyone who appreciates traditional Indian beauty treatment techniques blended with contemporary treatments.”
