Quality and practicality in Richmond

“I don’t usually post reviews, but with the experience I just had it is absolutely necessary. I got my wisdom tooth removed here and not only was the dentist insanely good at what he does, he’s also a lovely person. I was at ease and the whole procedure took at most 3 -5 min! I have always been scared of getting my wisdom teeth removed because of American horror stories. I would fly to London just to get my dental work done here. Can’t say enough good things!”

“My youngest daughter went to this Saturday school a year and a half ago after covid. My daughter was 7 years old at that time and she completely resisted the language. Online lessons, she cried and sat on the floor at the table, for lessons at home, it was difficult for us with the schedule and we decided to set aside Saturday for studying the Russian language in classes. My daughter is making great progress, she has a girlfriend there, she goes to school with pleasure. Administrator Olga is very responsive and attentive, helps us decide cottages and questions. We have a very positive experience.”

“PQA Richmond is simply the best performing school that both my daughters have attended. They have been at PQA Richmond for over five years and have loved every minute of it. Oliver and his team of teachers are outstanding, very attentive, approachable and caring. They create a warm environment where your child is always encouraged and supported in building their confidence to reach their goals. My daughters have had the opportunity to perform in the West End, Richmond theatre, Ham House (Shakespeare in the park), and many other prestigious venues. They have been involved in many musical theatre performances, as well as film making, both in front of the cameras and behind the scenes; directing, editing, make up and set design. The practical application of creative training that goes into creating full productions from start to finish is one that has given immeasurable value and skills to my daughters and all the young actors and film makers there.The school develops their skills in a completely immersive way, which incentivises them to explore technique, take risks and really take charge of their own development as creatives. PQA Richmond is a wonderful community to be part of and my daughters have formed many strong friendships there, as well as developing great performing arts skill. Above all, they have learned that it is all about teamwork, no one role is rated above another, everyone counts and the young actors are incredibly supportive of each other’s successes, this is due to the excellent example set by Oliver and his team of teachers; they are a constant font of inspiration. “I am probably the fussiest person when it comes to hair but both Clare and Kelly are excellent. They are great with my young children and so I decided to let Clare loose on my hair. Wow is all I can say. She gave me possibly the best haircut of my life at a fraction of the price you pay in a London salon. I am so happy!”

“This company is simply amazing. We had a really complex kitchen project and had been to six kitchen companies and their corresponding designers to get a design done (some cheaper, some significantly more expensive than Interior Design Concepts). Our impression was always the same: their input was limited and, as we learn about kitchen constraints, they always had mistakes in the design that if we hadn’t notice it would have been a disaster. With Lily (IDC designer) everything was different. She started asking for “hard constraints” (ie budget amongst other things) and unlike others who would push that in the end, Lily didn’t. She worked with that and spent enormous amounts of time looking at alternatives that would create a beautiful but full of functionality design whilst still keeping the constraints. But it didn’t finish there. When it came to installing the kitchen she followed everything from beginning to end. I lost count of how many times she came to the house to check. By the way, the installer she sent, Mario, was excellent too. At some point they even realised our builder had made two obvious mistakes with the electrics (something the builder rather than them should have known!). It was too late to correct them but she was the one who came up with alternatives that would anyway make the whole project work. Anyway, as a final word: Lily is amazing, we ended up with a beautiful kitchen (that was worth waiting for) and she took away from me enormous amounts of headaches. 10 out of 10”
