The Griffin, Brentford
“Historic football pub, home to Brentford FC fans. Very good quality food and beer. Friendly customers and staff.”
The Globe, Brentford
“Great Gluten Free Xmas Dinner and amazing selection of drinks to choose from. Will definitely recommend anyone who has dietary requirements.”
The Lord Nelson, Brentford
“A brilliantly friendly pub, with very welcoming staff. We had the best time on Christmas Eve with a large group of adults and children in their beautiful garden. Food was delicious, staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful, and the atmosphere was amazing. Can't wait to come back for more of the same, thank you all.”
The Brewery Tap, Brentford
“There are plenty of pubs round Brentford but we rarely go to any but our top two, Brewery Tap and Black Dog. The Tap is a really friendly local, superbly run by the lovely Annie. It's good place for a drink by the water in good weather and you can order excellent pizzas from Santa Maria as well as a good range of drinks. I really like the IPA and my wife finds the house red very palatable. The star attraction at the Tap is the music. Subject to Covid restrictions they often have bands playing there. Last night we really enjoyed Robert Hokum and the Great West Groove, playing bluesy music.”
The Six Bells, Brentford
“Reopened the beginning of May ‘22 with a new Landlady, refreshed inside and the beer garden is quaint with lots of hanging baskets and plants. No food or sport channels at this time. Nice sitting in the garden on a sunny evening. Dog friendly, Room to park bikes securely.”
The Black Dog Beer House
“Excellent staffs! Food were lovely. Steak was a bit over cooked. The ingredients were not top notch but trust me, the chef seasoned well, the sauces were spectacular. We enjoyed our meal. :-) Nice ginger beer too!”
Galata Pera
“A top-quality restaurant offering a delicious menu with excellent service. The food was well cooked and nicely presented. Once the meals were served we were left alone to enjoy the flavours. It is located next to the river which encourages a relaxed experience. Good vegetarian options as well.”
Makai
“Rami, Ahmad, and Ana were amazing hosts for this quaint birthday celebration. Portion sizes and quality of food were amazing! YOU NEED TO TRY THE PURPLE DREAMS COCKTAIL & the saffron cake! 11/10”
The Royal Horseguardsman
“Lovely basic boozer, sport on tv in the small main room. Selection of keg largers”
Kings Arms
“Lovely lunch menu, very friendly staff and a nice cosy environment. Highly recommended”
Express Tavern
“It's a quintessential tavern that serves excellent food and a range of drinks. In addition to the indoor seating it boasts a lovely beer garden. Plus pets are welcome.”
Magpie and Crown
“Great local pub. Fine selection of real ale at all times. Also the added bonus of regular live music. DJs Lead Balloon & The Rock were especially good, look out for them on their next appearance!”
Northumberland Arms
“I only go when there's music on, rock, it's loud, proud and you have fun. You can dance, good drink selection and the one person whose usually on, on music night is quick and efficient. You can also dine there but cannot comment as never eaten. The pub is clean and comfortable so even if you don't go for the music you'll be in comfortable surroundings.”
The Weir Bar
“Celebrated a special birthday here. Began with 2 for 1 cocktails - the Tuesday night offer. Wouldn’t make the same choice again. We ate Oysters and Padron Peppers to start, followed by sharing Chateaubriand with a bottle of red French wine. Amazing & why we will return! The waiter was pleasant and helpful. He allowed us to keep the table for the evening, so no rush to order food or leave when finished eating. From the outside, the place looks quite pretentious with a dress code sign on the inner door. Whatever ‘smart dress’ means, jeans with a tee shirt & a tracksuit were worn by others without any fuss. Christmas tree & decorations are up!”
AQUA VISTA BISTRO-BAR
“Some bistros fail to deliver, but Time does the business. Our reviewer had an early evening meal, catching the setting sun on the veranda after a warm October day. Time delivered in every way. The Haloumi starter was beautifully presented, freshly prepared, and in a mango sauce which worked well. The chicken burger main was exceptional, especially as our request for a small salad on the plare was met without any concern. Everything was cooked to perfection and was super tasty. We took the Red Rioja Crianza wine, perfectly o at room temperature, in a pristinely clean glass... even our request for a glass of tap water excelled, served with raspberries, blueberries and lemon... in a lead crystal tumbler. Service was top notch. Sarina cannot be more than 18 years old, but she took the order without writing it down, was polite, prompt and deserved her tip. Pelican Reviews are delighted to award Time Bistro-Bar with 5-Stars.”
One Over the Ait, Kew Bridge
“Went for a meal before the rugby yesterday. Some of the nicest food I’ve had in a restaurant. Starter of lamb koftas was delicious and the main course of steak and ale pie with mash and greens just as good. Unfortunately we had no room left for dessert! Will be back again.”
The Watermans Arms
“Very tasty Japanese curry, nice beer, a friendly welcome. Just round the corner from Premier Inn Kew Bridge”
The Courtyard Restaurant Syon Park
“My wife and I popped in yesterday for breakfast prior to having a look around the garden centre. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The service was superb and very efficient. The food was excellent! I would definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant as well as the coffee/tea bar that is on site as well.”
