Buckhurst Hill Community Primary School
● Open“My daughter has been attending BHCPS for a year and a half now. The staff are extremely hard-working and contentious . The continuing cuts to budgets and the slow drain of experienced staff out of the teaching profession has made life difficult for all our schools, but I can honestly say that BHCPS continues to provide an excellent standard of education. I'm impressed by the (interim) head-teacher and hope that she is encouraged to apply for the position on a permanent basis.”

Archdeacon Cambridge's C Of E Primary
● Closed“A truly excellent school - the teachers know their pupils well and are familiar with their individual needs and personalities. They are competent and calm, attentive and caring. The atmosphere here is one of enlightened curiosity and acceptance. My son flourished here, although he was a sensitive child who was diagnosed with dyslexia - they are so good with dealing with issues like bullying in a positive way that gets results. The children are lovely; polite and happy, for the most part.”

Joseph Hood Primary School
● Open“I love the school and my children as well. When my daughter started nursery she didn't know a single word in English, but the whole school, from the children to the teachers to the management, supported her so well she never felt like she was left behind and she improved quickly. Being she a Summer baby, learning could have been hard for her, but she's doing so well and the teachers are supporting and encouraging her so much, I couldn't be happier. My son is in nursery now and he literally loves to go, he's also improving so quickly. The whole school is caring and very careful about the children's behaviour and their safety. I love the fact it's like a big family, with all the grown ups, from the lunch helpers to the head teacher, knowing every single child by name. I wouldn't change the school for any reason and I highly recommend it.”
