“Our daughter joined Sutton High in Year 7 and is very happy there. She came from a wonderful state primary school (which she loved, and we loved), so the bar had been set very high, but we have nothing but praise for the school. Our perception of the new head is that she is fantastic; hugely energetic, invested, communicative and very present, with a great vision for the school. Her staff are passionate about their roles as educators, are very approachable and really know their pupils and how to support and progress them. The school takes the students’ health and wellbeing very seriously, and the girls know that there is network of support available to them, should they need it. Academically, they have high expectations of the girls, and encourage them to work to the very best of THEIR ability. And this is where I think Sutton High perhaps differs from other schools in the area. Our daughter got a place at the local grammar school, but in the end, we chose to send her to Sutton High. Financially, it was a very big decision (especially as we have two daughters!), but my husband posed the question, ‘Where do you think she will thrive more?’, and my instinctive answer was Sutton High. The variety of opportunities in terms of sport, art, music, drama, STEM, trips etc are great and wide-ranging, and offer the chance for your daughter to find something that they really love and are good at. That’s a real bonus for the self-esteem when navigating the occasionally rocky path of teenager-hood! Overall, as our daughter trots happily down to the station each morning, looking ahead to a school day filled with lovely friends, ‘kind teachers and amazing food’ (her words!) and lots of interesting learning opportunities, we feel we made the right decision.”

“This is my go to place for haircuts. Steve always cuts my hair and beard to how I want it, and for an extremely reasonable price! Brilliant attention to detail, and best of all be doesn't jab the clippers at my head. In my opinion no other barber or hairdresser comes close. Keep it up!”

She is so much more confident and independent since starting there. The staff always make sure that I know what she has done through the day, sharing pictures of activities and what she has eaten through the day. “I was a bit nervous ordering from a new place, but Noodle King has blown me away. We ordered hot and sour soup, salt and pepper chicken, sweet and sour prawn balls, special fried rice, Singapore fried noodles and Chicken in black bean sauce. Salt and pepper chicken was so succulent and I would go as far to say the Singapore fried noodles are the best I’ve had. It has been a long time since Hendon has had a decent Chinese (really old residents may remember cafe de coral on church road) but I am happy Noodle King are here. Long live the king!!!”

“Had a excellent experience at St Anthony Spire hospital . had a cyst removed start of December 2022 - procedure got complicated but the theatre staff ,Consultant surgeon Mr Lewis and the follow up wound care with nurses Jane and Chris was very good. Mr Lewis reassured about the wound healing and nurse Jane was a breath of fresh air during the difficult time with lots of positivity and excellent clinical skills and clear explanation of how to care for the wound at home . Would highly recommend the team !!!!”
