The Surbiton Flyer
“Lovely pub, staff are lovely. I got a little drunk with my friends and dropped a glass, which was embarrassing, but the guy was so tolerant of my drunkenness (thank you) I will say, although the pub is lovely, the toilets are stinky (pee), which is the only thing. Apologies for dropping a glass!!”
Bamanoosh Persian Kitchen
“A great find. The food was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. Whilst I have eaten in Persian restaurants before this seemed to a cut above. We ate in and it was pretty quiet but then it was 2.30pm on a Monday in January. Even then the food was fresh, moist and delicious. We shared a starter of Aubergine and walnut with amazing bread (Kashnk Bademjan) for mains we had slow cooked lamb neck with excellent rice. (Baghali Polo) Tender and tasty together with a first for us, Dizi a traditional lamp chick pea and veg stew in an earthenware pot (Which we got to take home) that you crush then roll in bread with fresh herbs and pickles - eating the liquid as a soup. Divine. I can't say if it is authentic but I get the feeling it is. I can say it is definitely great food and generous portions. Highly recommended”
The Sunshine Cafe
“This restaurant really is our little ray of sunshine. My partner and I have returned to this restaurant over the years when we crave a 'naughty yet comforting' Sunday brunch. We order the same every time; Super breakfast, Lavazza coffee and a banana milkshake. The super breakfast is not for the faint hearted! We often just eat this meal only that day and in terms of value for money, quality and your traditional builder's cafe food, we love it. The homemade bubble and squeak is my favourite part. The milkshakes are thick and delicious. Their attentiveness to their customers is fabulous. The regular staff recognise us and recite our order every time. It makes us smile as honestly we are not there all the time! I would advise eating in rather then delivery. The service is quick and it tastes so much better freshly hot.”
JK Beers and Wine
“I had tried to drop off of 3 parcels for UPS pickup at a place in Addlestone but i didn't trust the assistant as i didn't receive an email or sms receipt. I took my parcels back from them and called around and found JK Beers and wines. I spoke to Santosh who understood my situation and was able to checkin my parcels remotely to show me that sms or email receipts should be received which they were. I didn't mind driving 13 miles to JK Beers and wines the next morning to drop my parcels off because of the great service Santosh afforded me. He was proactive, honest and helpful - taking time to explain how the ups process is supposed to work. Santosh is great. PLEASE USE JK BEERS AND WINE FOR YOUR PARCEL DROP OFF, THEYRE FAB! THANKS SANTOSH.”
