Night out in the city in New Malden

“We recently attended a family wedding here, and cannot recommend it highly enough. The food was really something special; absolutely delicious. Every aspect of the organisation was spot on and the Owner, Chef and Staff were friendly, helpful and professional in all they did. A great day was had by all.”

The kitchen were super attentive about friends food allergies, chef came out for individual chat with her which just made the experience really personal, professional and thoughtful. The team were all great! Really warm and welcoming, providing 5 star service. Really lovely vibe there. The piano and offer of games made the place feel homely and fun! Food was BANGING! Best vegan pizza I’ve ever ‘ad! Although we were only a small group, we are loud and abrasive so difficult to manage sometimes but the team really went above and beyond to make us feel at home and managed our excitable nature very professionally! “This Korean and Japanese restaurant is hidden at the back of the Seoul Plaza 2 shop by New Malden Fountain Roundabout, behind a sliding door. They serve Korean and Japanese food, though we weren't able to have sushi because the sushi chef wasn't there yet (so I assume a different chef for Korean food and different for Japanese food). Delicious well-seasoned food, good portions and very nice peaceful place. We called their mobile number to reserve a table for Sunday lunchtime but when we arrived it was very quiet with only one other table eating there. They do takeaways but don't have any printed takeaway menus, it's just whatever you like from the "full" eat-in menu. Will definitely be back!”

“I was recommended this place and it did not disappoint! We got the whole chicken (half signature fried and half spicy glazed) with a side of chips and Soju! The chicken was delicious! The service was great, very friendly staff! Service was a little slow but I believe it’s because we arrived just before they closed for lunch!”

“Excellent hidden gem in New Malden serving up excellent Persian fare by the owner-chef. Service is excellent and the dishes full of flavour. The breads are cooked in a traditional tandoor in the dining hall are as fresh as they come. Highly recommended.”

“Popped by recently and was nicely surprised. Found the prices to be reasonable and the decor done tastefully. Food (sourdough toastie) was nice and well presented and the coffee was great. “We regularly use Lal akash. Specifically, we collected a takeaway on Tuesday evening. The food was tasty and very well made. The chef was extremely friendly and even made a point of trying to call us to let us know that the food was ready for collection so that it would not become cold. Well worth a visit.”

“Love the Gganpunggi! So juicy and tender. Not too spicy, nor too sweet. LA galbi is on the chewy side, samgyeopsal is good with lettuce and ssamjang. Minimum 2 portions for table top BBQ. Charcoal is used, which is a big plus. Staff are friendly, toilets are clean, tap water is available (as required by law), not too expensive, service charge added to final bill”
