“Best Pub in Crouch End. We had the most fabulous Sunday roast. Desert was heavenly and my daughter wanted to go back just for that. Beer selection is also very good and not just the standards you get everywhere. Love it here and will be back.”

“I have been a semi-regular in The Ship for about 5 years now and every time I've been in there, I've had a great time. The managers Jackie and Mark are amazing, as are all the staff there. The music is heavy, the drinks have always been reasonably priced and the regulars are always fun to hang out with. Never a dull moment in The Ship and never had a problem there before. 10/10 venue. May it never change!”

“Amazing authentic pub near gypsy Hill. A bit quiet but deserves more recognition as it difficult to keep a pub like the old times. Very friendly staff. Board games, darts and pool can be play and have nice classic music. The front and back beer garden are super nice. Highly recommended if you fancy a nice but not "pretentios pub" (sorry but I like old style pubs)”

“The Blackfriar gets it's name as it was built on the site of an old monastery. When you walk in the first thing you do is look around you everywhere as it is stunning. It is part of the Nicholson chain of pubs so it does decent food, I had a vegetable&lentil pie and it set me up well for a day of drinking! In the 1960's The Blackfriar was nearly lost to redevelopment, which goes to show how fragile the future of pubs even the most historic can be. It is conveniently located across the road from...you guessed it Blackfriars Station, it is on the Thameslink or the London Underground.”

“Great boozer , and unusually good and cheap pints! Sadly went back on Sat to watch the England Vs Springboks rugby, but they didn't have the channel so a few of us went elsewhere. Still a great spot for a pint.”

“Top tip for those in London. Whether you’re just walking by, visiting a different part of London or just moved to Bow- you cannot do better for a pub trip than the bow bells. A great classic British pub environment, friendly staff, reasonably priced beers, a sitting room environment and feel, entertainment from sports to drag queen pub quizzes and karaoke (in the evenings), a welcoming local crowd, great food- this place is really something special. It’s a diverse and welcoming environment, even on West Ham home game days! So if you’re wondering whether to come in or not for a pint or a pizza- I’d struggle to find where you can do better. “Great night at The Prince last Saturday 13th August 2022. Karaoke with Ben until just before midnight, pub packed with good mix of people in their twenties up to middle ages(!) and everyone had a great time. Manager Nigel and his bevy of incredibly attractive barmaids did a great job. Recommended.”

“Superb experience. We only live 5 mins away and been meaning to go here since the refurbish / new management. Honestly proud to call this my local. The staff are welcoming, the food is absolutely fantastic (hot honey chicken burger is to die for), and the kids food is great value. It’s quality like gastro pub food, but without the pretentiousness and fussiness. Decor is lovely and clean and tasteful. Well impressed - we will be coming back regularly.”

“Amazing little caff/patisserie. They do a crazy good merguez-stuffed bread that looks like a calzone, delicious slices of pizza with an Algerian flair for student prices. Coffee is really lovely and hearty too. All in all you must go and try everything at least once, we spent £7 per person and had to be rolled out the door with how much we ate.”

“I shop at this store almost every week. Always clean and plenty of variety of products. Prices are a bit high but that’s expected anyway. Most important that products are fresh and the customer service is great. I bought some Georgian wine first time and the Lithuanian lady serving me recommended and assisted nicely. “Beautiful park especially for a family with children. Lots to do and explore and an amazing play area for children with water play too. Lots of parking and lovely place for a picnic. The views are beautiful and overall a fantastic day out.”

They were out of a wine I tried to order so they called to let me know and replaced with a bottle of something even better than I had originally ordered.
