“Such a fantastic place to stay. Came for a Valentine's night away from kids and had such a nice time. The room was big, clean, and had all the expected amenities like soap, shampoo, coffee, tea etc. Place has so many quirky features including our room that had a skylight that looks up to the pavement in the street! It was still private, but just a sight idea of naughtiness makes it fun. Highly recommend.”

“I was looking for lunch but wanted a relatively light and quick sandwhich but I didn’t want a supermarket meal deal or a bland coffee chain product. I walked from Clapham South to Clapham North and didn’t see anything on the way until the last moment when I found this place. I was really happy with my handmade baguette with spicy tuna, cheddar and cucumber. Wish there were more independent cafes like this around. I don’t live that local to this but If I’m ever in the area I will definitely come back”

“Went on the weekend for a birthday and I have to be honest, this was my 2nd time I've been. The 1st time I had such amazing food that I wanted to treat my brother for his birthday so took him there. Food was not great. The menu seems to have changed drastically since I went there last and the vegetarian/vegan options are all the same vegetables (cauliflower). We literally ordered everything off the menu that was available but when it came it all tasted the exact same. We weren't impressed with the food but having said that once I had mentioned this to the managers they were very apologetic and offered to re-cook the food but we kindly refused. We also cancelled the rest of our order as we had lost our appetite. They kindly comped the whole bill as they were really sorry we hadn't enjoyed the meal and were so kind by doing this. Although I've rated the food as a 3 star I'd give 10 stars just for the service. The venue is beautiful, amazing views and drinks are great. I'd definitely recommend and go back again on the basis that I'd like to think they will take on board my feedback and make some changes.”

And the main items on the menu are real soul food - straight the heart. Will definitely be back. Specials are normally Friday nights and weekends. “We started taking our cavapoo here after a recommendation from family. Previously she’d come back from other groomers we’ve tried either a bit despondent or shaved to the bone. Despite it being a trek for us, I’m so happy to take her to Wag Club as she always comes back with a great groom and, more importantly, with her tail wagging happily.”

“All time favourite :) You have to go! It's the cutest little place with amazing food. Their food is freshly made on the spot. Everything is so tasty, you cannot restraint yourself from having all the of the dishes. One of my most favourite dish is Chicken Katsu curry with rice. Seriously my friends and I are just addicted to this place, we go at least 3-4 times a week. The service we receive is amazing, they make us feel welcomed and gives us amazing experience every time we visit them. Highly recommend”

“Genuine food, in purely sicilian setup. This is a family run business and the owner is putting his passion and face in it. They even sell a beer from an award winning microbrewery from Messina, a must drink. We loved every dishes. Pizza, pasta al forno, antipasto e tiramisù. Recommended”

“Been before for piercings and they were lovely! Went again today for a new tattoo and was slightly worried I would feel awkward during the tattoo ( even though I had been in previously for piercings so I knew they were lovely already but I couldn’t help think it would be due to past tattoo experiences). When getting past tattoos I’ve never been able to have a conversation with my artist without it feeling awkward but when we came here I felt like we were friends!! Very very friendly staff, recommend to anyone who’s nervous to get a piercing or tattoo for the first time or just nervous in general. Will be back next pay day to get my shoulder tattoos haha!! :)”

Spontaneously, we decided to give them a call to book for a table on that night to dine in and the food was even better in person than via takeaway (if that's even possible). From the starters to the main, everything was delicious. The staff is also very attentive and deserve all the praise for the success of the restaurant (Friday night and it was BUSY! No empty tables and their telephone didn't stop.) Monkey Temple is likely to be the best curry in London.”

“Went here for a belated Valentine’s Day lunch. It was amazing. The location is really nice, and easy to find. The vibe of the restaurant is perfect, intimate, cool decor, perfect playlist. The food was amazing, we had; Crab salad, veal pasta, crispy lamb, rostis, potatoes, cabbage, prawn toast. It was all delicious. It’s hard to pick a winner, my fave was the prawn toast, my partner loved her lamb and veal pasta. The rum and coke old fashioned was tasty. The service was excellent, always someone on hand to help you out, take an order, check if you’re alright. I’ll definitely be coming back again. My expectations were very high due to reviews about it and it exceeded them all.”
