“A lovely small authentic Mexican restaurant and cocktail bar hidden down some stairs in the north end of Dalston. They have a small number of dishes, including tacos, enchiladas, huarache, huevos rancheros etc. that they do extremely well. They also do excellent cocktails including margaritas of course, as well as a large range of tequila, mezcal and sotol. A great place to bring your kids for lunch and friends for drinks later in the day! Main dishes are about £11 as are the cocktails so not super expensive either. Well worth a visit.”

However, the food was TOP NOTCH, as also the cocktail drinks too. The only suggestion I will have to make is your 24 Hour Poussin. I don’t know if mine was 24 hours ready or not? The marination didn’t penetrate the white meat. I look forward to trying your Seabass main, as you was sold out of it at the time. “I am currently at Euston with heavy bags and a dog, so finding a place to stop and get food was difficult. However, when I got to Tortilla, I was greeted with a lovely welcome and smile from the lady serving (Aida) who told me to take a seat outside, and she would come out to me to take my order. All the stress I had travelling with the dog and baggage was removed - brilliant customer service. I’ll be back here for sure when I’m next passing through. Thank you Aida!”

“These guys are legit! As a Texan who has lived in London over ten years now, this place has been a saving grace. I have been longing for proper margaritas and queso here for years and these guys have come in and saved the day. Their quesos and margaritas are the real deal. They do bottomless brunch (with margaritas!!) and breakfast tacos too. I’m also a huge fan of sour cream chicken enchiladas and not only do they have them, but they’re delicious! The staff are super friendly and the service is great. This place is such a welcome breath of fresh air to the London food scene, especially for those of us longing for a taste of home, and I’m so thankful for it.”

“Literally unique, they focus on in-house creations, very limited on out sourcing any product from outside. You can taste the freshness, flavours and care that goes into each dish. Tacos, birria tacos, quesadillas, burgers and churros are fire here, hands down haven’t had any better anywhere else”

“I can only recommend Mon Panier Latin to anyone looking for proper French products and warm customer experience. Back in the old days, I went to work in France for a number of years and was a big fan of one brand of cheese there. When I looked for it on the net, bumped on Mon panier, ordered and received it fairly quickly. Then carried on ordering. What I actually like with them is the human side of it. Dealing with them reminds me the out of town shops where people take the time to speak to you. Even with thousands of customers, every time spoke to one of them, it was like talking to a mate, they cared about me took the time to speak. From what I understand it’s a small team but always there when needed. Don’t get me wrong it did happen during the busy period where they were slow to respond but they always did come back to me–no robots or call centre and this is what I mostly appreciate. That’s why if I ever have to wait even for months for a product (which never happened), I would without a blink of an eye. I know it’s because the team is working hard to get exactly what I ordered and I know this for a fact. So, if you are looking for a shop where you are just a number, don’t go there, they provide family like experience, the French way. Sorry just realise I’m being a bit long here. Anyway, we get the idea.”
