“I went to this restaurant with some friends and we were here for 5 hours! I chose this restaurant out of the other west African restaurants because they do not use Crayfish and every African restaurant seems to use it. Auntie was so kind and endearing, she was very funny also! The night ended with a wonderful discussion and rather heating discussion in a good way it was nice to have the restaurant with ourselves to converse with auntie I had Nkanenskwan with emu too, red red and plantain. It was very filling and delicious, the spice kicks the throat really quickly! I do plan to come back again it was just so cosy, cultural and nice”

“Had the pleasure of stumbling upon this place with a buddy! Now I’ve lived in California for a few years and I sorely miss good Mexican food - which is something London sadly doesn’t have many good options to offer. This place is such a treat! When you walk in, you know you’re going to have something good happen. It has a hipster, hole-in-the-wall restaurant feel to it, and they being it with good food! It hope they just get the flavours better and better with time. Will defo be visiting more often. My recommendation - chicken/beef tacos with the loaded fries - ask them to add a touch more sauce. Churros with hazelnut chocolate - you can’t go wrong.”

“Great service and good quality food. The music was a bit booming for a Sunday morning and we asked them to turn it down and they did and were really nice about it. Great coffee and good selection of teas. Sourdough toast was delicious. The pancakes are lovely too.”

“The Porter House is a nice restaurant to enjoy some nice drinks (they have really good wine) and good food, if you are around the area. The staff are nice, although one of the brothers is much nicer than the other one and makes you feel more at home. But in general it is a nice place to go.”

“I love love love this place, hands down my favourite Indian and it must be everyone else's too as it's always rammed in there so 100% book a table.if you want to give it a try. The service is brilliant, the staff are friendly, welcoming and effecient, and they remember you between visits which i really like. The food here is amazing and one way another I've ordered all their sides and a lot of their mains, I normally opt for lamb anything and its divine. I've never ordered wine here as they have a good variety of beer on tap and they're always super quick with drinks. We order popodoms to start and the sauces are well presented and generous and I love the hot lemon flannel at the end. Highly recommend this place!!”

“One of their nicest locations - very kind and helpful staff and great food. Came over on Friday night and managed to get a table for 4! The food was really nice, as usual and the staff was really helpful and nice. The decor in this place is just spectacular and really makes it an upscaled venue. You can even catch jazz performances on Some evenings!”

“One of the most affordable and authentic Indian takeaway places. The Bombay chicken is exactly how it tastes back home. Very fresh salad, well cooked and perfectly spiced chicken. I have never eaten this good chicken curry at this price point in London. Kudos to the staff and chef. Please please please don’t ever change your recipe. It will remind a lot of people of home. I would prefer to skip the expensive Mayfair Indian restaurants and rather take away 2 bowls from here for a better taste and authentic Indian chicken curry”

“The owner was so friendly I just had to try the food and was so glad I did. The venue is clean and comfortable and modern while at the same time retaining charm. The food had a great balance of flavour and spice without being overpowering or dominated by heat. Everything I had was delicious, I'll definitely be back for the biriyani”

“Dinner was amazing! We got here around 9pm on a Tuesday night and the wait was over an hour. A little surprised by that but the time went by pretty quick. They brought out some lemonade while we were waiting which was nice. Food itself was great and the atmosphere is amazing as well.”
