“My partner and I went here on valentines night. Absolutely loved it! Was decorated for valentines, but the decor was lovely anyway. We smelt the food as we walked it and said it smelt great. The waitress was so lovely and friendly. Great food, great ambience and lovely waitress. We live local so most definitely will be back and will recommend to everyone.”

“I have visited twice. Once on a busy friday night, the other on a quiet weekday. Both experiences were excellent. It is fairly expensive but it is worth it. You are paying for a good quality service. Food is excellent, very tasty and generous portion sizes. Presentation is also good. Service is friendly and kind. Drink orders were a little slow on the busy Friday night, but it is forgivable. The restaurant was packed and they have a difficult job to do. Happy to wait a little longer than usual as the food was excellent. Live entertainment too, Friday night had a belly dancer and there is also live music. This really adds to the experience. You aren't just paying for the meal but for a shared experience with your fellow diners. There is also an outside area, as well as shisha facilities for you you shisha aficionados! There are no other restaurants in the local area of a similar style. I can't think of any other Turkish restaurants in the area. There is an Italian just down the road. All in all, an excellent restaurant and worth a visit. On both occasions I simply walked in without a reservation . 10/10!”

“Great food, good portions, fast and polite service and a good price. Mangal has nailed the key attributes a good restaurant should have (and that many much more expensive ones fail to). Even when there was a mistake on my order the waiter was very apologetic and gave me an extra portion even though I told him it was ok. The Turkish tea at the end was a great touch! I will certainly be back, and bring my friends. Thank you!”

“They’ve done refurbishment both inside and out, but the food is still as tasty as before. We were a party of 7 and ordered one family grill and a large mixed grill with two dishes of Calamari. Their freezer got broken and no desserts were available except Baklava and rice pudding. It was very disappointing, but they gave us free Baklava and Turkish tea. I love Baklava. There are hit and miss sometimes, but it was so good that I ate three pieces! Carolina waited on us with honesty and great care. She is wonderful. I highly recommend the place.”

“Great food. Nice people. They will cook for you fresh, and in a live barbeque oven with a coal fire. This gives the kebab a distinct pleasing aroma. Service is also very friendly. Downside: only cash payment is accepted. You can order online, but the online price might be a bit higher than the in-shop price.”

“Loved our dinner there. It was also pretty quiet there on chilly autumn Saturday evening. Probably because most people eat takeaway from them. We were having calamari rings for a starter to share, then lamb mains and we even got desert! They also have Turkish beer. Highly recommended.”
