I currently have a collection of eight pairs of G&G in a range of colours from vintage rioja, chestnut, cherry, black, vintage oak, midnight blue and mole suede. Quality of the shoes are fantastic; an absolute joy to wear and maintain (they take on polish very well). The sales people in the shop are very friendly and offer a lot of advice about shoes. Even happy to chat about all things sartorial too. I have also taken in shoes back to the store to be resoled and refurbished to come back 'as new' (impressive service). Beautiful shop and good to see the bespoke models on permanent display.”

“I ordered online on a couple of occasions and only recently after Brexit. Since I live in Italy, I was a bit worried about the shipment process and the customs duties etc, but the process was very smooth and easy because people at Sabah House are super helpful. The shoes are beautiful but this is not a novelty since I had already bought a pair from their New York Studio. A special thank you to Melissa, who is always very helpful and super nice!”

Super suitable for my shape and I can't believe how flattering some of their clothes are - Donna suggested a couple of things to try on and KAPOW ! Always find good quality and stylish shoes here. Pricey but you know you are getting quality here and not the deteriorating quality of other high street brands such as Clark's and others. I guess the old adage is true that you get what you pay for. My favourite formal shoes are from here and some 12 years old. Still perfectly good for use though!”

The difference in buying something online vs buying in store is the interaction and the experience from the latter! Marta at the shop showed me how to put on a pair of Chelsea boots properly - very useful advice indeed! “I've used New and Lingwood for years and usually attend the shop for suits and other bits however I ordered a shirt online and made the error of picking a linen one by accident. When i returned the package i did so using Royal Mail and didn't add tracking. Obviously Royal Mail lost the package. After following up with New & Lingwood they spend a week or so looking for it and Royal Mail said it was lost. New and Lingwood have returned to me with a Credit Memo and are honouring the refund anyway. A small gesture however I think it show's how they think of their customers. Very pleased to say I will continue to shop there thanks to Joel and his team (and the beautiful clothes).”

So I returned them. The store manager was very helpful and the return process was hassle-free. Quality of the shirts is premium and luxurious.
