“Went to this amazing restaurant in the neighbourhood. I always prefer to eat meat but this time this vegetarian restaurant served the purpose very well. I ordered Aloo Piyaz thali with sweet lassi and everything was on point. The kind lady from staff was very helpful. Ambience was great with good choice of punjabi music. Overall a very pleasant experience. 9/10 Definitely going back very soon”

“Absolutely delicious!! The kebabs were the best we have had (and we have tried many), it was very flavoursome, you could really taste the various spices and left us wanting more! The chicken shawarma was top notch, nice, juicy and had flavour to it, not bland as most restaurants!! A good portion too. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend trying this restaurant!”

My second visit and there will certainly be many more. I’ve been looking for a nice Indian restaurant for a takeaway for a while, this is by far the best. “Hello , Today we ordered food from Hemas local kitchen and we were absolutely delighted with what we received. The food was packaged so well and the chapattis were very good and soft to have . The dhal was my favourite..though it was the thokku that was a bit hit in our house, especially my daughter's. We would def recommend Hemas local Kitchen for not just taste alone but the quality too . We are looking forward to you expanding into other food items as well . Will order again”

“We were expecting to have buriyani for lunch. There was a delay in getting the meat delivered. We had fried rice as per Chinese recipes. They were good! Not that oily.”

We ordered a fish curry, channa masala, bhatura, lamb curry, butter chicken, sheekh kebab plain rice, coconut rice, plain and onion/chilli naan. Everything was sooo delicious especially the fish curry. Definitely pop in here (especially after a 6 hour church session next door!)”

“Had a great experience at Apna Des. It was late night and they were about to close but they were kind enough to serve as as their last customers for the day. Ordered Chicken Karahi and chicken biryani and got the suggestion for Garlic naan which was really amazing. Both of the main courses were lovely, loved the quantity too. Staff was really helpful specially Annie, kudos to her. Overall: 9/10 Definitely going back very soon”

“Amazing range of vegetarian dishes, have been on a few occassions and the experience has always been positive. Staff are helpful and attentive, service is great even when it is busy with spacious and welcoming atmosphere. Conveniently located near bus/train too. The thalis are quite something else and you get a lot for your money, the food is also very vibrant and flavoursome. We've also tried other menu items such as desserts which were fantastic. You won't be disappointed!”

“I was recommended to come here, and I'm so glad I did. We forgot to book in advance (as they get very busy on weekends - make sure you book if you want to go!), but they still very kindly accommodated us. We were extremely impressed - The food was all excellent, all delicious and properly cooked, arrived quickly. Service was amazing too, waiters and management were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was good. A lot of families, parents with infants and groups of friends. Bathroom was very clean, well-equipped and the decor is up to date as well. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, I'll be coming again!”

“Food was enjoyable and generous portions. Clean tidy. We had a lamb biryani and a lamb burger meal. Apart from slow cooking g time the food was hot and tasty. Slow time could be due to Ramadan. Free dates and salad to help break a fast despite being Christian. A very nice touch and well recieved. If only all religions were so welcoming. Price was wonderful and definitely value for money. Will be back again.”

Very nice I will be visiting it again. Gets busy at times and not so much seating so be sure to book in advance so you are not let down or having to wait.”

“Spice hut is a chain, I have been to many of them, the consistency in the food and service is excellent. The chicken tikka biryani is on the spot here and the portion was generous. I do not believe it would have been possible to fit all that into a takeaway box if I wasn't eating in. There's only a few seats, the best way to enjoy this place is probably to takeaway.”
