“Didn't stay in this hotel but had a Virgin experience for my Christmas present last year from my daughter for two people. Had to use before it expired 7 Dec 2022 for a luxury pamper and spa experience. Lovely Hotel with the most gorgeous swimming pool and spa. I would actually become a paid membership to use the pool if it also included aqua aerobics etc. My sister and I really enjoyed swimming in the nice warm water, then relaxing in the spa afterwards. We both had a 55 minute full body massage. Both agreed best massage we have ever had. I have had loads in various countries and here at home. What a Shame that the new owners are closing this lovely hotel and it's luxury pool down on 9th December 2022. Some other people in the changing areas were also not happy it was closing. They had held memberships of over 20 years for the leisure facilities. Wish it hadn't taken myself so long to find the perfect pool, only to find out it is to be closed down in a few weeks!!”

“One week ago I noticed how one of my teeth at the back got badly chipped and I was very worried about it. I immediately called the practice and they managed to get me an emergency appointment for few hours later on the same day. Once figured out the issue, 2 days later Dr Sim Mangat and nurse DiPi brilliantly rebuilt the tooth with filling and fixed everything up. They did a miracle really. I am also usually a bit of a nervous patient when it comes to medical checks and needles, but I immediately felt I was in very good hands and they made me feel relaxed and comfortable. One week as gone by and my tooth is all ok, no pain, no issues, everything back to normal. I am so grateful!”

“Excellent food, very tasty with a lot of variety. They had a good Gluten free selection of starters and mains but sadly only ice cream for dessert of you're gluten intolerant. That aside we had a fantastic evening celebrating my birthday, they accommodated 26 of us in the lovely conservatory area. There is an accessible toilet with rails and raised seat but it's in an awkward position where staff are very busy. All in all I'd say I'd go back and recommend the food.”

They put the whole thing on with a smile on their faces and made it a very festive and memorable time spent with the family. Lovely breakfast and drinks as always too. Thank you all so much again. “A lovely clean place to relax and enjoy yourself, one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Sharon in reception is a lovely kind lady along with all the staff and guests staying there they made us feel at ease and very welcome. Would definitely recommend this guest house. Thank you 1st bed”

“Welcoming and cosy, I've been lucky enough to enjoy dinner here twice now in as many weeks. Somewhere my partner and I have driven past of numerous occasions on our way to gigs, we finally decided to pop in and see what it was like. The staff are very friendly, the decor and atmosphere is relaxing and the food is phenomenal. Both times we have had the fried chicken to start. Vin loves the surf and turf and I throughly enjoyed the fajitas the first time we dined there - and then the roast beef dinner last Sunday. With awesome puddings and cocktails to choose from - we've left with very full bellies after both visits. With parking onsite, coloring activities available for the kiddies and very reasonably priced/collectable toys for the kids to purchase, children can enjoy their time at The Travellers Home as well as the Mum's and Dad's. Really nice restaurant. We like it so will definitely return again soon.”

“I went on Monday with the intention of buying myself a pair of earrings. Came away with two pairs! Oops....a very tempting shop though. Such a good variety of modern and older style jewellery. You would be hard pressed to not be able to find something. Fair prices as well. Staff wonderful to deal with.”
