“Mmmm shashlik! Tender, spicy but not hot spicy......make your mouth water spicy. Charcoal chicken wings. Not the skinny flappy bit but,the shoulder and bicep. A tiny sprinkle of fresh lemon juice drizzled into the munchable, tender chicken. The starter dip things.... FANTASTIC Turkish naan. Light and fluffy with a good outside crunch, dipped into fresh proper humus. A garlicy yoghurt dip thing. Grilled onion quarters in a pomegranate sauce. A fresh and tangy salad with tomatoes, cos lettuce, cucumber, onion. Often Turkish salads that I've had have just been sprinkled with vinegar which, can make them slightly bland. Not so Charcoal's salad dressing. Imagine a charcoaled meat selection served on a bed of rice with a chips border and a sort of thin, round flatbread covering to keep the aroma and heat contained. Lamb shish in very small,succulent cubes on wooden skewers. The charcoal chicken wings, shashlik, thin strips of doner.thick, tender lamb chunks. Add a glass of Turkish red wine (or three). Maybe some Turkish tea with something sweet for those of us who like the slightest perspiration invoked by overeating. Yes, they do takeaway. Yes they have all sorts of fizzy drinks. But, they are not your usual Turkish takeaway. This place is well worth a sit-down for an hour or so and serious, professional eating. Opposite Lidl so maybe, if you do some shopping in Lidl - you could park there. Personally, I think it's worth taking the Northern line and walking from Edgware statation. A couple of outside tables for those that need a quick cigarette or an afternoon cup of coffee and a baklava. I was introduced by a friend who is Turkish and himself a retired restaurateur. In the 20 plus years I have known him - he has always steered me to places that are good quality and not overpriced. This isn't a place with fancy carpets and bow tie waiters. It's like a mum n dad place who care and concentrate on flavour.”

With the recent challenges faced due to Covid-19, the nursery has responded extremely well in getting back up and running with the safety measures put in place. “Hands down the best B and B to say not only just in London but I would go as far as saying in the uk. A warm welcome at the door by a lovely family and they make u feel welcomed. Room upgraded at no extra cost. Only 2 of us but gave an extra bed ;). And so kind enough to give us a downstairs ensuite and a cup of tea. Facilities were extraordinary and lovely homey vibe. Thank you for the memories and hand on heart this is one stay I’ll never forget until the next time x”

Perfect customer service and a really nice friendly and chilled out vibe. Would recommend to anyone who wants a decent haircut.”

“I been coming here for about 4years. At the beginning stuff was changing a lot so was difficult to have one Barber. From 2019 I watch the young Lady (Alexanda) training for every single time I been there. After couple of months I tried to get haircut by Alexanda (I be honest, I was worried for the first time but she did a very good job.) From that time I always choose her and saw her skills was month to month better and better. Now we are in 2021, I’m not anymore living in Edgware but I travel to get a haircut by that Young lady. Always nice atmosphere,drink and positive vibes from that lady ( she really love her job and this make you feel very comfortable.) Sabi Style is very lucky to have such an Good stuff. “I had morning coffee and toast at this lovely cafe on Edgeware Road while my husband was attending an appointment nearby. It was so good I took him back there for lunch! The menu is varied. The food is excellent, plentiful and inexpensive. I had chicken kebab with rice, salad and pitta and my husband had a fry up. Delicious. The chatter was lively between the customers and between customers and staff. As soon as you walked in you felt welcome. I just wish they had a cafe round the corner from me.”
