There’s the option to play some snooker/pull if you’re up for it. Cheap drinks, student discount, a great mix of music (80s-present) and very friendly service. “I really liked this place because the members of staff were lovely and the food was excellent. The outside of the pub is also beautiful because of the lovely flowers. It was very clean and there was plenty of room to sit. The cheese toastie was delicious.”

“This is a nice and cosy pub along the river. We visited at the end of a shopping trip, its just outside the shopping area, so a little calmer. We were able to find seats inside and order a couple of drinks before leaving for dinner. There is a good selection of drinks, the staff are friendly, the service was good and the facilities were decent. We would visit again, especially in the summer to try sitting outside by the river.”

“Best thin crust pizzas in town. Fresh and flavorful. Very light in the tummy. Wonderful service. But it might get busy on weekends, so you might have to wait for nearly 10-15 minutes to place an order. But the waiters there do a great job and are friendly.”

“Well every now and then your find a gem and wildwood hits the bill !!! Service was very quick and attentive . I had the calamari for starters and the classic burger for mains the calamari was lightly seasoned as it should be fresh and vibrant the burger was cooked to perfection with fabulous quality beef seasoned again perfectly . Home made fries are perfectly cooked . My wife and daughter had pasta dishes and they said the flavours were so intense and aromatic .. Highly highly recommended and don't let that kitchen team leave you have keepers there !!!.”

“A lovely pub in the centre of Kingston with many tv's covering all sports, the choice of beers were cheap compared with many of the other pubs in the area. The staff were friendly and helpful and the place was a very friendly atmosphere. One to visit on your visit to Kingston.”

“Great gastro pub food and excellent service from attentive, non pushy staff. Good menu selection includes veg/vegan. Booked for a Saturday late lunch for our 1 year anniversary and enjoyed decent steaks (1 rare, 1 med) with blue cheese sauce (on the side), fries and mushrooms. Very relaxed, despite it being quite busy we didn't feel rushed so enjoyed our drinks and took our time ordering dessert - one apple crumble (pictured) and a very sticky (good thing!) treacle tart with a (slightly small but proper) blob of whipped cream. Lovely early Christmas atmosphere.”

“There curry’s are delicious. Has a very homely flavour to them which is very close to authentic Bangali/Indian curry. Had their lamb madras which was lovely, could be hotter but nonetheless was yummy. My favourite is their Dhaal dish! Absolutely scrumptious and has such a silky taste! The best Iv tasted in a very long time! Light in taste just the way it should be. I highly recommend! And food arrived piping hot!”

“Mrs Patel has been great to my little brother of 6 years old during this Corona period. With Tooth pain, as an adult, I would be able to handle it, but when it effects a child for days or weeks, its horrible. Mrs Patel has always gone over and beyond in agreeing to emergency appointments to going out of her way sometimes, or working out of hours. She is really good with children, and knows how to reassure them. She also takes the time to explain the tooth issue. If your seeing this Mrs Patel, please bring the stickers back for the kids :)”

“good Starbucks in a great location by the crossing. the toilets are usually locked you need to get the code. most of the snacks like the fruit toast and cheese toast are very nice. staff are well-trained and importantly enjoy their Jobs.”

I saw Mary, the health assistant, recently - she followed up a problem I had with an appointment at Kingston hospital, and phoned me within 24 hours to say she had sorted it - excellent service.”

“I am constantly amazed that I can buy a full bag of fruit and vegetables and only pay £15. I am sure the same list would cost twice as much in my local supermarket. The quality is no different and they use paper bags not plastic like supermarkets and you can actually talk to someone who knows about the products. This place is one of the few independent shops in the area. Use it or lose it.”

“Lovely friendly bar. Staff were amazing. Food was excellent. We had the beef Wellington which was the best I've ever eaten. Nicola the landlady was very welcoming and Charlie the bar man was very attentive and comical. Will be back next week for dinner after Christmas shopping. A definite yes from us.”
