Gir Lion Lodge
● Closed“A night at Gir Lion Lodge is a great experience. The accommodation is lovely and more than adequate. The hosts and hostesses are knowledgeable and charming. We enjoyed an excellent 2 course dinner and a hearty breakfast but best of all we had 3 tours of the zoo once it was closed to the public! One at sunset and one by torch light and the 3rd after breakfast. So exciting to be woken by rumbling lions and to be sleeping only a few feet away. I also learnt a lot about conservation - ZSL is doing a grand job!I had such an amazing time I can't wait to go back !”

The Fenn Bell Conservation Project
● ClosedRochester ME3 8RF, United Kingdom“Really good conservation zoo in nice location. We did the fox experience with Jack Which was an extraordinary experience getting a better understanding about the foxes and their life. The zoo has a nice layout and lots of other animals. A really good place to come to and explore and most of all spend money to help.”

Land of the Lions
● Closed“A night at the lion lodge... best sleepover ever. Noisy though they are, the lion noises aren’t disturbing so much as soothing! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Even Bhanu was welcoming in his own way! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone of any age.”

UBON Safari
● Closed“We booked a honeymoon safari with Ubon after they were recommended to us. The company is run by a lovely husband and wife team, Umang and Benna. These two know their stuff and look after you before, during and after your journey! They created the most wonderful and bespoke honeymoon package for us. They literally did everything - it was completely stress free. The safari itself was magical - a once in a lifetime experience! They had hand picked places that went beyond what we could have imagined - we truly had the time of our lives! I found this experience so much more personal than going with a huge corporation where you are just a number. Umang and Benna are both originally from Africa and they check out all the places they recommend, so they really do know their stuff. If you want a stress free, high quality personal service for a once in a lifetime experience, then this is the company to book with!”

Wingham Wildlife Park
● Closed“It's amazing how well this place has come along since it's early beginnings as a bird park. I haven't been here for about 7yrs and the additions they have made and are making are excellent. Disabled access is probably one of the best we have experienced at a zoo, although more disabled parking would be beneficial. The play areas are excellent, the staff and keepers are friendly and knowledgeable they obviously love their work. Pricing may seem a tad high for a small zoo but you can literally spend a whole day here so overall it's actually reasonable. Go, you will enjoy it.”

Lee Valley Animal Adventure Park
● Closed“This visit was a last minute plan because almost all the other places were booked up. And I am glad that we found a spot. Its a massive place with so much for kids to do. The place is well maintained, the animal seem well taken care of! The bouncy castle was a hit and the food was good. We spent just about half a day and kids still didn't want to go home! They have so much space that they can easily get a theme park going which would be great!”

Chessington World of Adventures Resort
● Closed“Stayed here from Monday and Tuesday, staying over the Monday night at the Safari Hotel. We really enjoyed the park, youngest was 1.1m oldest 1.2m so a few rides we had to separate for a few. Easier 1:1 child to adult ratio for under 7s I'd say. Hotel room was perfect and it was amazing staying next to the safari park. Buffet dinner and breakfast at the Azeteca Hotel was mayhem but really good quality. Perfect for the kids. Loved the 9am entry to the park although I'd flag not that many rides were open. Overall a great 2 days with a 4 and 6 year old.”

Tigers
● OpenDunstable LU6 2QJ, United Kingdom“The tigers here are so lovely. We like to play a game of finding the tigers since they like to hide! Sometimes you can spot them having a nap, eating or washing. As with all the different animal enclosures at this zoo, there is plenty of room for these beautiful animals to roam around. We love coming here, and we definitely recommend that you go and visit too!”

Zufari: Ride into Africa!
● ClosedLeatherhead Road, Chessington KT9 2NE, United Kingdom“The zufari ride is amazing, it has quite a queue so it's best to get there early to avoid a large queue, or you could leave it till the end of the day as your last ride and get into the queue before the park closes the queue lines. There is a variety of different animals to look at while on the ride and there is a narrative that talks the while way round and talks about the animals your looking at. I'd definitely advise going on this ride while at Chessington”

Blackburn Pavilion
● ClosedLondon NW1 4RY, United Kingdom“Located inside the London Zoo, Blackburn Pavilion is an indoor Bird House with three rooms. The first one has aviaries housing crested wood partridges, Bali starlings, owls, doves and more. The second is an indoor rainforest with free-flying birds. The last is home to Java sparrows, Egyptian tortoises and more. In total, it is home to around 50 species of birds. No visit to the Zoo is complete without visiting the Pavilion. Highly recommended!”
