“A wonderful outdoor Olympic (50m) size lido in south-east London. Extremely clean and heated year round making winter swimming possible, even without a wetsuit. Inside and outdoor changing facilities. Friendly staff and a nice mix of local leisure bathers and a friendly swimming community make for a very nice relaxed atmosphere. Some swimming and triathlon clubs train here too. There's a full Better gym on-site (which can be used for an extra fee) and something quite unique, an outdoor spin studio overlooking the pools. Some of the spin instructors are very entertaining as they motivate their classes :). You will definitely leave feeling refreshed and happier than when you arrived.”

“Been at the leisure centre for 2 months now and it's been nothing but brilliant! Big spacious gym with a wide range of equipment. Free weight area could be bigger as I often can't find an opportunity to jump in. There can also be groups of younger people who gather around the equipment just chatting and not really doing much (saw one young couple kissing for about ten minutes by one of the stations) which can clog up areas for large amounts of time, but this isn't the leisure centres fault. Tried a body pump class last week and really enjoyed it plus the pool is a nice added bonus. All in all its great value for money and the 1life add ons and virtual work outs are great too. It's the most motivated I've been at a gym and feel like it's the gym for me. Staff are always friendly and helpful too.”

“The staff are always lovely and friendly! My little girl loves going in! Waves at everyone! The teaching pool is clean and so are the changing rooms! The showers are unfortunately cold takes a while to get some heat and my little one won't wait that long! But it's not a big issue! We just shower at home!”

“Lovely welcoming family run salon in Shepperton. Felt like they listened and loved the haircut, lots of compliments. Very clean and well presented with a refurb about to take place will definitely be back and highly recommend. Will be bringing the kids back too as they get free lollies with every haircut.”

Really appreciated the extra time and effort he puts into making sure the customer is satisfied and understands everything correctly, which I have to say is a rare find these days to have someone show so much initiative and care for their job. “Fabulous local outdoor heated pool. Staff are very friendly. There is a small rooftop cafe. Along with lane and recreational swimming there are various fitness classes. I have tried Aqua aerobics, great fun and great instructors. They are even open Christmas Day.”

“Have used the soft play with my nephew a couple of times . I have say that the gentleman who was on the reception desk was so kind. He saw that I was heavily pregnant and bought me out a chair to sit whilst my nephew played. The chairs had been removed due to Covid but he made an exception. It was such a kind gesture and can’t thank him enough.”

“OMG love this pool. Can’t believe it’s in the middle of Covent Garden! So random! The water temperature was balmy, the deep end was super nice and deep which I find is quite rare in london pools. It’s buried deep in a residential area but that makes it a quite unique swimming experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Showers were so clean and changing rooms so warm!! Great experience overall! Thank you.”

“Very nice sport center with great view of city and Shard and super friendly staff. May not be as shiny as the new Better centers out there but lots of character. Also the holiday club is great. No swimming pool though as we are all waiting for nearby St Georges to re-open.”

“Recently renovated gym has brought a huge plus point to it and moreover you get the opportunity to work hard and stay fit when there is a swimming pool, a gym, and a sports hall for basketball and badminton. At all times you will find the centre really clean with all sorts of equipment provided. The best thing is that it offers really sound monthly packages which are quite interesting.”

“I attended the BETTER Classes, lead by Jackie who is a friendly approachable instructor. Also has years of experience so can guide you as needed. After a health issue I was losing confidence, but enjoyed the class and regained confidence in myself and what I can do to improve my health and lifestyle. Also others in the group were friendly, non judgmental, and fun.”
