KumKangKorean Restaurant
● Closed126 Malden Road, New Malden KT3 6DD, United Kingdom“This Korean and Japanese restaurant is hidden at the back of the Seoul Plaza 2 shop by New Malden Fountain Roundabout, behind a sliding door. They serve Korean and Japanese food, though we weren't able to have sushi because the sushi chef wasn't there yet (so I assume a different chef for Korean food and different for Japanese food). Delicious well-seasoned food, good portions and very nice peaceful place. We called their mobile number to reserve a table for Sunday lunchtime but when we arrived it was very quiet with only one other table eating there. They do takeaways but don't have any printed takeaway menus, it's just whatever you like from the "full" eat-in menu. Will definitely be back!”

Amazing food, good value. Atmosphere and service is casual and basic - come here for a casual no frills bite of delicious foot and nothing else. Rustom recommends!”

Sarang Restaurant
● Closed“An exceptional Korean BBQ place! Welcomed by friendly staff who took care of us throughout the entire culinary experience. The food was just delicious. I have experienced a variety of authentic Korean flavors. The ambiance of the place is very simple yet pleasant. Great food, good energy. Must visit. Ahh, and yet another thing... This is probably one of the few restaurants I have visited recently whose menu is adequately and reasonably priced. I will be back for sure!”

Koji
● Closed“Excellent sushi, quite pricey, but worth it. The food is of extremely good quality and prepared perfectly. Every dish has a careful balance of flavours and the cocktails are also well balanced. I also found the ambiance and service of very good quality. Definitely earns its place on the Michelin guide. I would say that its missing a bit of creativity on the flavour combinations to be going to the next level.”

Oriental Canteen
● Closed2A Exhibition Road, London SW7 2HF, United Kingdom“I have loved this little canteen for at least 20 years. Discovered it after a museum trip with a hungry small child and they were so happy to accommodate us and the food was so tasty, cheap and authentic! Nowadays the prices have gone up a little, but it is still a very economical place to go. I recommend sticking to the Chinese menu as the Malaysian dishes are less authentic, but they are delicious nonetheless. The staff are really friendly and the food arrives fast, so it's fine to under order and order more if needed. Portions are decent. Huge recommend.”
