“First time visit was the first day of business! Very beautiful shop with a large variety of japanese grocery and sushi. There are so many options when it comes to sushi and sashimi.. some are not even available in high end restaurants! Definitely will visit again!”

“Delicious food. Reasonable cost. We got donburi salmon teriyaki and veg curry. Reasonable portions. From the pictures I thought the crockery might be in plastic containers but the food was served in very tasteful japanese ceramics which makes a difference to me to the dining experience. Very delightful pretty surroundings. We were the only ones there, seems like leytonstone is pretty quiet for dining. They are not properly appreciated here! In central London I'm sure they'd be packed. We were there from 6.30-7.30pm or so. There were 2 deliveries collected whilst we were there and 1 guy who came for a take away. Seems more popular for take aways which is a shame as it's a lovely looking restaurant.”

“Now if you like Sushi, this is where you have to go if your in the area. Small little place hidden around the corner from the castle, doesn’t seem big from the outside but as you head upstairs you find a cosy little restaurant buzzing with a relaxed vibe. The menu selection is impeccable and I can honestly say, this is the best Sushi I have had in a very, I mean very long time. Generous portions, super fresh, very tasty and brilliant staff. They do takeout too, but I prefer to eat in!”

“Sugoi is one of my go-to places to deliver food from whenever I have a sushi craving. The concept of a sushi taco is something I’ve never come across before but it works so well. It can be a bit messy to eat but that comes with the territory. The food is always so delicious and the flavours are spot on. I would 100% recommend Sugoi JPN to anyone who loves sushi and wants to try something new.”

“Delicious Food. When I use to study nearby, Midori would be my absolute go to restaurant whenever I and my friends were feeling hungry. Service is amazing, wait time isn’t too long, and the food I always trust to fill me up. I always got the same bibimbap every time I went here, and I can say for certain it’s absolutely delicious.”

“First time at Achimi and was a great experience, quiet Sunday evening too. Staff were attentive and very nice, food was incredible! Tempura prawns are a must, lightly battered and juicy prawns. Duck spring rolls were great. Aromatic special roll was delicious!! As well as the spicy scallop temaki. Finished off with coconut mochi ice cream, first time trying mochi and it won't be the last!”

“I've only ordered off Uber Eats so far but the food is incredible. I've had two different bento boxes, the beef teriyaki and the chicken teriyaki. Both were really great. Good value for money, tasty, and filling. The Japanese wings and bubble tea are pretty good too. I would recommend it to everyone. Going to keep trying things from here including the sushi.”

“I am still wondering how is possible that komakai can deliver such an outstanding quality being a take away sushi business. Yes, you read correctly. We all know that sushi is not cheap. We also know that it is pretty hard to find a trustable sushi bar/restaurant. In London or where ever... I know about fish quality because my parents are fishmongers in Barcelona (enough said). And when you think your found one pretty acceptable then the bill arrives to the table and the price do not match with the quality delivered. That has been my main surprise with komakai. If you had this sushi served in a restaurant, the bill will be over £200 for 2 people’s dinner. Yes, £200! Please don’t take my advice for granted. Give it a go and you will be as pleasantly surprised as me. If you are lucky enough to live in south east London (or making a big enough order and further delivery can be considered) try Komakai. Check the pics in Instagram (komakaisushilondon) they speak by them self. Check my pics taken at home. Even my cat (Neo) realised about it! Bon appetite!!”

“I was excited about this new Japanese restaurant that they open just yesterday. I went there today and I would definitely come back again. Staff are very friendly and my meal was really lovely (love the Unagi Don yum)! It does give me nostalgic memories of my trip to Japan in the past. I would recommend to give Bento Boys a try. “Customer service is excellent. There was a lovely lady working there! I ordered an iced matcha latte and jasmine tea. The matcha latte was not sickly sweet and it was just right like the Japanese way. One lady even gave me a free complimentary biscuit. If you are fan of japanese drinks I would HIGHLY recommend. “Had a lunchtime hankering for Korean. I've passed this restaurant many times and thought that it was a sushi restaurant. Anyway the portions are huge easily satisfy two people per serving. Service was friendly and fast but dishes came out of sequence i.e. the main came first, followed by the starter and lastly the rice for the main arrived. The food was hot and the meat dishes were sizzling. The price was a little pricey but the experience was worth it. Looking forward to those Japanese fried oysters next visit.”
