The staff were amazing (a cute, very well dressed guy with shoulder length hair who we think was Spanish, and a lovely Italian girl who had more of a French accent and a big smile) and gave great advice on what would or would not suit us. I was after a waistcoat for my wedding and they had exactly what I was looking for, and in the end I also took a jacket and trousers. The prices are really competitive - around £240 for a cool, 3 piece tweed suit is amazing. One of my fave shops now.”

One of your colleagues (a petite, white blonde woman I’d say no older then 22) notice the chanting man and noticed I was watching him a bit concerned. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, professional and helpful The cupboards look fantastic, and provide an enormous amount of additional storage. The workmanship is a very high standard, and the area was cleared and cleaned very thoroughly afterwards. We’ve bought all our wooden furniture from Priest Brothers (dining table, chairs, sideboard), as well as a few bespoke items (radiator cover, coffee tables) and would have no hesitation in recommending them”

“I had the most wonderful experience with Shimell and Madden; Emma and Luke took on the challenge of creating a beautiful and unique bespoke engagement ring for my partner, using an heirloom piece of jewellery. From start to finish, the process was enjoyable and stress free. My initial email was answered so quickly, and I was able to go in for an appointment very soon after, with Emma fitting nicely around my working hours. From the initial consultation, I felt so involved in the design process, with no pressure to go one way or another. From the initial sketches drawn up at our consultation, Emma sent me some mock ups and was 100% transparent about prices. The images were so realistic that they really helped to bring what we'd spoken about to life. Emma listened to my suggestions and feedback, despite my wanting a mixture of two designs and seamlessly integrated them together, to create the final piece. Then all I had to do was choose the additional stones and wait for the magic to happen. I was advised of the wait period for the ring to be commissioned, and was thrilled to hear that it was ready bang on time. When I saw the ring, I was speechless- it was just as the plan had shown, and was such a unique and beautiful piece. When I finally popped the question, my fiancé was blown away by the uniqueness and touched that the ring had been made from a sentimental ring, in a way that was just for her. Everybody comments that it is unlike anything that they have every seen before, that it suits my fiancé completely, and they love the story of how it was made. I really can't recommend Shimell and Madden enough - their design, craftsmanship and professionalism made the most daunting question I have ever asked in my life so much easier. Resizing was a breeze, and their aftercare offer really fills me with so much confidence. I can't thank you guys enough!”
