“Great simple home style food and warm welcoming atmosphere. The service is friendly, prompt and attentive. Everything very nicely cooked and prepared. Comfortable seating and a spotless toilet. The prices are incredibly reasonable. Its a place where old friends and close family go to meet, eat and talk. Cartons is a rare gem in this slick, overpriced eating out elsewhere around us. Bonus: no alcohol! Cartons promotes community and love that emanates from its owner Ben and pemeates to all who walk through Carton's door. Ben knows and speaks love to his food, staff and guests. We need to make sure we all tell Ben how much we value Ben and his contribution to our Stanmore community. Many of his most appreciative guests do not use social media so I am speaking up here on their behalf! Did you know that Ben will also cater for your afternoon tea events? Recently Ben provided a wonderful sandwich and cake spread for my fathers 96th birthday and my parents platinum wedding celebration tea, for 20 guests two days in a row. Highly enjoyed and now highly recommended. Ben we love you and need you. We know you are feeling tired and unwell right now. We all are wishing you the very best. “Amazing place, wonderful staff, all were friendly and helpful! I'm not a steak person but for the first time I tasted a bit of my friends steak and it was actually really good - they referred to this as amazing and said it 'cuts like butter' the steak lovers loved it!! The ribs were absolutely delicious and fish and chips were also nice. All other side bits such as the mac n cheese, garlic mushrooms, Chirozo and garlic bread were also all very tasty. Although we were stuffed we went for sticky toffee pudding(also a first for me) which was very tasty and considering I am generally a chocolate person this was a great alternative. Will definitely be returning to try their buttermilk chicken (which had run out) and the gigantic fudge cake! :0)”

“Came in on a lovely Sunday afternoon and I could clearly tell that the people working there were understaffed. I ordered fish and chippy for myself and my family and I noticed that there were a lot of people also waiting to be served. We all got our meal on time, which was lovely and what what impressed me the most was the service of the staff and in particular Robert. He was so nice and understanding even though there must have been immense pressure to continue his service. Please Morrisons make sure you take care of him and his staff. Will come back! 11/10 service.”
