“Stumbled upon this place on a whim of a decision to chop off 1.5 inches to get rid of some split ends and dry ends. They washed my hair and gave me a nice mini head massage and proceeded to cut my hair afterwards. I asked for a straight cut and that is exactly what they did with no layering. Love what they did and they are friendly as well! I will definitely be back!”

“I came to Gina Conway Wimbledon because a Buyagift voucher I’d bought a while back needed using. This meant I could have an Aveda facial, body massage and mini-manicure – a package that would have been well beyond my current resources had I not understood it was all pre-paid. The spa salon experience was good and the therapists lovely, so I had a really chilled afternoon... … until a 'misunderstanding' occurred at the desk when I wanted to leave, and I was told to pay an additional £120 on top of the voucher cost! (Having returned to the Buyagift website I can see that the cost of the voucher has increased substantially since I purchased it, but I am not necessarily saying that was the reason for my supplemented bill, which at the time struck me as failure to read what the voucher covered.) Although this brought me back down to earth with a bump (setting off a mixture of anxiety and flight or fight responses in my previously relaxed body), to her credit manager Melissa sorted out the issue of the unexpected charges promptly, and in a way that helped to restore my positive view of the business (hence 5 stars have still been awarded for the quality of the treatments I received). I know that I won’t be able to come here again now and I’m not even sure I want to anyway. But I would definitely recommend Gina Conway Wimbledon as a great place to indulge in some self-care, based upon my overall experience on this afternoon's visit.”

“I visited this salon after a friend recommended them. I booked in for a colour but was unsure of the look I was going for. I had pictures of colours I liked. The lady des took the time to tell me the process and we agreed on what she would do. I knew from previous experience that getting my very dark hair highlighted could take a few tries but I was amazed at the result. Des explained the process of highlighting and toning and she even recommended hair products that would leave my hair in good condition. After not visiting a salon in almost 2 years I was quite nervous but des and the rest of the staff were lovely and made me feel relaxed. I will definitely be using her again and I’m recommending storm to all my friends.”

This is an extremely professional salon with very high quality standards and possibly the best one in Wimbledon where clients are made to feel welcome and valued. They also try their best to fit in walk-in appointments as I had the opportunity to witness during my last visit. I have had manicures, pedicures and waxing there on various occasions over the years and I am always impressed both by the quality of service received and the value for money. I last visited over the week end and Jungok is excellent when it comes to waxing. I would highly recommend her. She is exceptionally thorough and will take the time necessary to deliver an outstanding service (i.e., she will not hesitate go over a freshly waxed area with tweezers to make sure there is no hair left). She is also very light handed which makes waxing almost relaxing and enjoyable.”
