“Great simple home style food and warm welcoming atmosphere. The service is friendly, prompt and attentive. Everything very nicely cooked and prepared. Comfortable seating and a spotless toilet. The prices are incredibly reasonable. Its a place where old friends and close family go to meet, eat and talk. Cartons is a rare gem in this slick, overpriced eating out elsewhere around us. Bonus: no alcohol! Cartons promotes community and love that emanates from its owner Ben and pemeates to all who walk through Carton's door. Ben knows and speaks love to his food, staff and guests. We need to make sure we all tell Ben how much we value Ben and his contribution to our Stanmore community. Many of his most appreciative guests do not use social media so I am speaking up here on their behalf! Did you know that Ben will also cater for your afternoon tea events? Recently Ben provided a wonderful sandwich and cake spread for my fathers 96th birthday and my parents platinum wedding celebration tea, for 20 guests two days in a row. Highly enjoyed and now highly recommended. Ben we love you and need you. We know you are feeling tired and unwell right now. We all are wishing you the very best. “We keep coming back to this place. The chicken shashlik brings back many nostalgic moments from Mumbai. The food is excellent. We were served by Amira on this visit and she was the most helpful. Our English neighbours who joined us for dinner also loved the food.”

“This place is fantastic. There is a review that says it’s terrible. Please ignore whatever that review says because that is not even about this place. They don’t even have blue plates! The photos aren’t taken at chilli lovers. They do beautiful food, I have never had bad food from here. If you like your Indian food to actually have some spice and kick this is your place. They’ve just receive 5 stars from food hygiene. Staff are friendly and always happy to recommend dishes suitable to every customer. If spice isn’t for you then let them know and they will accommodate you. My partners mum can’t handle spice but we told the staff this and they made sure her meal was fine for her to eat. If you are in the area, or can have this delivered I would thoroughly recommend. It’s now my go to curry house and I recommend to everyone!”

“Lovely little cafe conveniently located and with lovely staff. The tables are a little tightly packed so it can be snug but still had a lovely atmosphere and the food was tasty.”

“I had the most amazing massage here! I opted for hot stones and the lady really understood what I needed and found my knots quicker than other people have in the past and worked on them too. She also helped me with some tips and excersises to do at home. Oh and room looked, smelled and sounded beautiful. Thank you”

“Came in on a lovely Sunday afternoon and I could clearly tell that the people working there were understaffed. I ordered fish and chippy for myself and my family and I noticed that there were a lot of people also waiting to be served. We all got our meal on time, which was lovely and what what impressed me the most was the service of the staff and in particular Robert. He was so nice and understanding even though there must have been immense pressure to continue his service. Please Morrisons make sure you take care of him and his staff.
