“With friends we had our first taste of the food from Thai Spicy at The Kings Head for a Friday lunch. We all had starters and main courses the food was very well presented and very tasty. “Had the pleasure of stumbling upon this place with a buddy! Now I’ve lived in California for a few years and I sorely miss good Mexican food - which is something London sadly doesn’t have many good options to offer. This place is such a treat! When you walk in, you know you’re going to have something good happen. It has a hipster, hole-in-the-wall restaurant feel to it, and they being it with good food! It hope they just get the flavours better and better with time. Will defo be visiting more often. My recommendation - chicken/beef tacos with the loaded fries - ask them to add a touch more sauce. Churros with hazelnut chocolate - you can’t go wrong.”

“I recently ordered a large cod fish and chips and easily one of the best places so far.. the chip I can’t stop eating it because it’s so crispy but soft inside 10/10 a must try and the fish was top notch and very friendly people in that shop. whenever I need my fish and chips fix The Anchor is my new Go to”

“Massive portions at reasonable prices, had no.3 breakfast (I think). Plum toms, mush, fried slice, 2/3 slices bacon, egg, sausage, tea and 2 toast, £6.90! October 2022 as a reference point for prices. I work in SW London and would have to pay £8.50-9.00 for smaller portion. Clean, outside seating/smoking area to front.”

“I love this place and have since taken different people along with me to enjoy it too. We have always been made to feel incredibly welcome by the owners and the food and hot drinks are great. The portions are really large but with a focus on well sourced produce which is very important to the owners. The prices of everything listed are incredibly reasonable and the range of cakes and baked goods are extensive and delicious.”

“Thank you to Luke who led my daughter’s kayaking birthday party. He was brilliant from start to finish. Very welcoming and efficient. He managed the children well and organised some brilliant water based games and activities. The children were kayaking non-stop for 2 hours. They all came back buzzing with excitement. I would definitely recommend and book again in the future!”

“We visit here regularly. The kebabs are really nice and the salad too. They take cash only. The only thing that I find annoying is when you call up to make an order, turn up to collect it and it's never ready when they say it will be.”

“I've been here twice in quick succession. The restaurant is decorated very tastefully and has seating for around 50, which is much more than I expected. The service is very good, with our starters being delivered quickly and then offering us a slight pause before main courses. There was no feeling of being hurried or rushed. “Great little Costa in the centre of Bexley village. It is open all hours, one of few places that are open before I go for my commute Customer service is excellent. Honestly the staff are absolutely amazing, really friendly and will go out of their way to open doors for people juggling lots of kids etc.”

“Review of The Railway Tavern, Bexley Village. Me and wife went there for the first time, on a Sunday night in March 2022 - having heard they had karaoke. Arrived about 7.30 and it wasn't very busy so we got high chairs at the bar. DJ Duncan was already set up on a stage in the corner; he does a regular Sunday night session until 11pm. It's a bright, nicely laid out pub on the High Street, unsurprisingly round the corner from Bexley Rail Station and handy for buses including the 229. By 8.30 it was busy and by 9 it was HEAVING, mostly with the late 20's crowd but a fair few coffin dodgers (like us!) and one or two harmless weirdies. The hard working barmaids were run ragged. Great music and singers (mostly, but, well, it is karaoke!). Drink prices reasonable; £10 for a single Bacardi, a bottle of coke and a pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord (which was excellent!). A great night out. Recommended.”

“Spent the afternoon and evening with a friend in the newly opened Millers. The landlord Paul made us very welcome and chatted about his plans and how he intends to run the pub. There are multiple screens that showed 6 nations rugby and the football. They dealt effectively and with no fuss when a group of ladies came in very drunk. The evening had a DJ and the place started to get busy. Paul had another 3 staff behind the bar, so getting served wasn’t a problem. The loo’s are in a separate building out the back. I’d like more choice on real ales, but that’s my only real criticism. Good luck with the future to all concerned and if Paul treats all his customers the way he treated us, he’ll make this pub a success quickly”

“Booked MBP for my friend's party at her house with 100 guests, and he absolutely smashed it. He let us pick all of our favorite dance records a few weeks before the party then worked around it. It was like being a club with everyone dancing and going crazy because if the way he mixed the tunes. Highly recommended if you want professional club DJ.”
