“After a take out from there a while ago we finally got around to visiting the restaurant today. I took the whole family. Everyone left there satisfied and amazed at how a place like this is in our home town and we've never been. Made us feel like we was part of their family. Message for the restaurant; Please keep it up guys, you're doing everything right.”

“Incredible food and wonderful service, all really fresh. Absolutely get the custard tarts for dessert! Three of us went, had a good mix of veggie and seafood/meat dishes, wine and dessert and came to £40 each including a tip.”

“Mr Ruffles or actually in this case Miss Ruffles hosted a fabulous 4th birthday for Max. Justina was great and really engaged with the children and held their attention very well. There was a mix of games, magic and dancing. Top class children's entertainment. Would highly recommend and we would definitely book again.”

“A fantastic pub which is at the heart of the local community. The oak has a brilliant landlady and excellent staff. Nice Guinness, sport on the TV, a great Sunday roast, a fun Thursday night pub quiz and most importantly always a warm welcome.”

“I have now made the old oak my local pub I have been in 3 times previously before tonight but tonight has sealed the deal of making The Old Oak my local. I was in there the other night and mentioned it was my birthday and that I was coming down tonight to have a few drinks to celebrate and Mary said she would do me a few cupcakes which I thought was a lovely gesture, but when I walked in tonight I had a table laid out with confetti. I went to the bar and ordered drinks the next thing I knew the barman came over with a bottle of bubbly and some glasses and I thought wow!!! Mary has only met me 3 times and to do that was so nice of her. I would fully recommend if anyone wants a friendly pub to go to on a night out I would def say go to The Old Oak you will be made feel welcome and you will definitely go back.”

“Went to the buff for some lunch last week. I had a very nice signature fish and chips and my partner had the katsu curry. Both meals looked great and tasted even better. Compliments to the chef!!!”

“We’ve eaten here a few times and it’s always consistent. Lovely food as always using fresh produce. Tonight I had the tagliatelle after seeing their beautiful fresh porcini. Pasta was homemade, perfectly al dente with ceps, porcini and truffle paste. I would happily eat another portion. Wonderful friendly service from Martina and the team.”

“I completed a course at Westking Soho centre in 2017 and went on to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. I am now going on to do my Masters and this is all thanks to my lecturers at WKC! I see a lot of reviews highlighting discrimination, however I faced none of this during my time here and I saw nothing of the sort occur. I owe a huge thank you to Nickie who gave me the chance to study here despite an initially poor performance during interview maths test. I received all the support I’d needed and with plenty of effort I was able to gain a good understanding of maths and physics which helped me massively during my time at Brunel University. “I would recommend The Winning Post- good food, free large car park and spacious venue. We were a table of 4 and went to eat. I have to say that they’re sharing nachos are some of the nicest I have tasted- the freshly made tortilla chips are really nice. It would be nicer to have some more guacamole but I often think this with nachos- this is my preferred dip. The menu has a number of vegan options which is not always common and the allergen menu online is really useful. The service was good- any minor issue resolved without delay. Staff were welcoming. Overall I would recommend and plan to return.”

“Love this place, great food options and different things on kids menu than the usual. Staff friendly and chatty and they know there food, so able to answer questions about ingredients well. Food is delicious and reasonable priced.”
