We took my 94 year old Grandmother for lunch and was joined by my auntie who was celebrating her birthday. Catherine noticed this and arranged a lovely birthday dessert for her. The pancake rolls are like a meal in themselves.. They are massive. Sweet & Sour chicken was excellent. Most takeaways around here, the sauce tastes and smells like vinegar but not here. “Amazing venue for private parties. Used to be a truckers cafe but now closed. Does occasional parties. It is out of the way so no noise issues. We had a great live band playing until midnight with a DO as well. They can cater or you can do it yourself. Really nice and friendly hosts and allowed us to have what we wanted. Thanks very much - awesome night.”

“Lovely big pub with plenty of space: booths, tables and hi tops. Lots of natural light from the large windows around three sides of the site. Ornate art-deco around the bar with interesting lighting options. Guinness was excellent as was the Doom Bar.”

“Good customer services. Most of the African- Caribbean food items are available. I was able to pay by card. Parking can be a bit of a challenge. Normally I park at Aldi and walk across through the Orchard shopping complex.”
