Toolstation Watford Colonial Way
● Closed“Excellent Click & Collect service during Covid-19 lockdown. Very quick and efficient. Having a catalogue aids ordering so you know exactly what to order with the product code from it. Found it difficult to order by scrolling through dozens of pages (screens) to find what I wanted then remembered I had a real catalogue. Once I had a list of products it was easy to order in line. No sooner had I ordered, a minute or so later I got the text to say I could collect it. Very keen prices and a wide choice too .”

Cassiobury Park Hub & Daisy’s In The Park
● Open“I started going to Daisy’s in the park when I got my puppy over a year ago. The staff are very friendly, helpful and so professional, all of them! I really enjoy going there in the morning get my coffee. Their breakfast and cakes are delicious, home-made with a wild variety to choose from. It gets busy over the weekend but they still put a smile on their face and try their best to get rid of the queue. For instance they’ll open the cafeteria downstairs whenever possible. They’re the only cafeteria in the park so weekends get very busy. I usually go around 10am at the weekend to skip the queue. They take cards only since Covid/lockdown which is the new norm in most places anyways. I actually find it reassuring to avoid spreading germs… Covid! They also have hand sanitiser and dog treats. Very generous! My dog loves them :-)”

Las Iguanas - Watford
● Open“We visited here today for their bottomless brunch. I can honestly say that this is great value for money especially if you add the cocktail upgrade. Our waiter for our visit was CJ and considering it was only his second day he did a great job. Nothing was too much trouble. If you're passing and fancy some great food and even better cocktails it's well worth a visit.”

Cristol Clear Living at Thornhill House
● Open“We had a most enjoyable stay here for three weeks. It's a pleasant, well-equipped apartment that is ideally positioned, so that we were able to walk to most things: supermarkets, the Watford High Street, Watford Junction station, Cassiobury Park, etc. Considering it is the centre of town, the noise at night was not unreasonably disturbing. Communication with the managers at StayHere was always clear and prompt, and they went out of their way to meet our needs. We would definitely return to this apartment.”

Oxhey Activity Park
● OpenWiggenhall Road, Watford WD18 0EZ, United Kingdom“What an amazing place. It was rammed with skateboarders, bikers and folk on scooters. So many people that it felt totally safe. Some adults and older children doing impressive jumps etc and the only issues were the small car park and being nearly knocked over by someone on a scooter. But since she was only about 5 it wasn't too scary. Great to watch. Wish I could of had a go.”

Oxhey Park
● OpenEastbury Road, Watford WD18 0FB, United Kingdom“Oxhey Park is great there are various skate parks and tracks for kids to use their scooters and skateboards on. The climbing frames are big enough for adults so I was able to play with my child rather than spectate. There is a water refill station so you can take your own water bottle and refill while there. There is also an accessible climbing frame which is great for buggies and wheelchair users. There is a coffee shop right next to the play area and restrooms which were clean. If you cycle to the park there is plenty of bike lock up spaces.”

Lidl
● Closed“Lovely new store. Shelves full of some known brands alongside some foreign brands. Prices are really cheap and great value for money. Instore bakery is really well stocked and has little veg pizzas which tasted really lovely. Easy to navigate around the store. Pushchair friendly. Clear signs for all the aisles. Not a big range of bread when I visited but the prices are really good. Less than 50p for a large loaf. Will buy one to try next time I’m there. They have loads of tills but only one or two open. I used the self check out which was really easy. Will visiting a few times a week I think to get some fantastic bargains. Not a lot of veg options in the freezer section. Only one type of veg burger that I don’t like. Loads of ice creams and desserts. The entrance is down the side and there is parking available in an underground car park. 55 spaces I think.”

The Moon Under Water - JD Wetherspoon
● Open“Nice big wetherspoons which is due to close soon apparently. Haven't been here for about 20 years and I must say, things have improved a great deal- thank goodness. The staff were polite and friendly- I think everyone I saw was smiling. There was a good crowd in but the service did not suffer. My wrap and chips for lunch were lovely and the Guinness was excellent. I'm sure this pub will be missed”

The Range
● Open“Great customer service from Bon who works in the backyard. I was looking for a product and there was no staff on the shop floor. I saw him near the entrance of the store room and asked his help. He tried his best to find the product but couldn’t locate it. I was about to leave the store and he came quickly and informed me that he found the product and took me where it was. He is a great example for great customer service and this rating is given purely for his service.Should have staff like him on the shop floor to help customers .”
