“If I could rate 10 stars, I would and that's mainly because of our server, Catherine. From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, attentive, and couldn't be more helpful. We took my 94 year old Grandmother for lunch and was joined by my auntie who was celebrating her birthday. Catherine noticed this and arranged a lovely birthday dessert for her. The whole afternoon was perfect. The restaurant is stunning and the food was incredible. We will definitely be back.”

Aside from the food, my preference is the delicious lamb and chicken shish combo with salad and pita bread generous enough to satisfy the hungriest, there is an upbeat positive feeling that the staff gives off topped off by the newly renovated premises. I always have the feeling when the younger customers come in after a long day, that they feel a little of the love that Bexley Charcoal Grill grill puts into making their dishes sending their customers back out into the rough in tumble world not only well fed, but cared for too. p.s. for those of you that enjoy authentic hummus and not the vile paste that you get in most supermarkets, Bexley Charcoal Grill’s hummus could be served proudly in any palace. October 2022 as a reference point for prices. I work in SW London and would have to pay £8.50-9.00 for smaller portion. Clean, outside seating/smoking area to front.”

“I love this place and have since taken different people along with me to enjoy it too. We have always been made to feel incredibly welcome by the owners and the food and hot drinks are great. The portions are really large but with a focus on well sourced produce which is very important to the owners. The prices of everything listed are incredibly reasonable and the range of cakes and baked goods are extensive and delicious.”

“Review of The Railway Tavern, Bexley Village. Me and wife went there for the first time, on a Sunday night in March 2022 - having heard they had karaoke. Arrived about 7.30 and it wasn't very busy so we got high chairs at the bar. DJ Duncan was already set up on a stage in the corner; he does a regular Sunday night session until 11pm. It's a bright, nicely laid out pub on the High Street, unsurprisingly round the corner from Bexley Rail Station and handy for buses including the 229. By 8.30 it was busy and by 9 it was HEAVING, mostly with the late 20's crowd but a fair few coffin dodgers (like us!) and one or two harmless weirdies. The hard working barmaids were run ragged. Great music and singers (mostly, but, well, it is karaoke!). Drink prices reasonable; £10 for a single Bacardi, a bottle of coke and a pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord (which was excellent!). A great night out. Recommended.”
