“Delighted to see a new coffee shop in the area. The coffee here is great (it's Volcano), they do decent sausage rolls and pastries at a good price. Very friendly staff and I'll be making it my regular spot for a coffee fix.”

“Very unassuming but as soon as you go in it's great. Lots of seating space, comfy sofas and plenty of space between tables to keep safe. The food is delicious, I recommend the full English! I was doing some work for a few hours while my bike was being serviced and the owner was more than happy to let me hang out there for the duration. The coffees are surprisingly cheap so I was expecting a cup of instant, but its a proper coffee machine. Absolutely delicious, other places could seriously take note! I think I had 3 while was there... Lovely service from the owner and I'm definitely going back again.”

“Fantastic little find. Descended on this gem with a double buggy and 4 hot and hangry children ranging from 1 to 14 years old. Staff were friendly, food was really yummy, and great prices. All 5 of us were fed and had sufficient drinks on £37! Service is not included on the bill so make sure to bring some change. Staff definitely deserve it!”

“A tiny lovely coffee shop! Although it’s really small, it includes everything. Beautiful staffs, beautiful coffees, beautiful design. Found it on the magazine and dropped by. It’s absolutely a surprise for me. You have to visit it if you wanna try something amazing or like handcraft stuffs. I’ll definitely go back again.”

“As you maybe aware I’m a big foodie who loves dining out in the finest of restaurants. But when it comes to choosing wine we either go for the countries that we know or we leave it to the recommendations of the sommeliers. So with this in mind we wanted to broaden our horizons let’s say by learning more about wine in general ie taste , smell , tannins , acidity etc. with the additional knowledge of knowing what wine wine is good value for money and which style of wine goes with which style of food. So we gave it some thought and approached our good friend and drinks expert Alison Taffs at the Hop Inn Hornchurch our local micro pub to see what she thought and because it was only going to be the two of us if it would be worth her while. But after a little chat we discussed a budget so it would make her time and effort worthwhile. We gave her a couple of weeks to put together a format and gather some wines to taste and talk about. This led us to sunday when our tasting would take place. We arrived at the Hop Inn and our table was laid out in the corner. You could see straight away that Alison had put a lot of effort into this to which we were very grateful. She had laid out tasting note sheets , an iPad screen displaying various information and a list of the six wines we would be tasting. She decided that we should keep the discussion to european wines and in particular Portugal , France , Austria & Germany. Her knowledge was incredible as she guided us through the different stages of tasting wine. This begins with appearance which will include the colour. This is followed by smell , condition , intensity and the character. Then it’s time to taste to find out if the wine is sweet or dry as well as how much acidity , length , body and tannins. To finish you would decide what type of food you would match the wine with. We followed this by talking about pricing and what wines from specific regions when you look at a wine list are good value for money. This information really was invaluable and will certainly help us in the future. We’d personally like to thank Alison for a fabulous wine tasting afternoon. To listen to her knowledge and passion really was a pleasure and we definitely got more out of this than we first thought. I would highly recommend if your interested in wine to arrange a session yourselves whether your a couple like us or a larger group you will certainly benefit from her vast experience in the industry. We’re certainly looking forward to booking another session with her soon”

“Amazingly good pizza, which has been unusually consistent over many visits and deliveries. The manager / occasional pizzaiolo is charming, friendly and highly-skilled. The dining in experience could be a little bit more relaxing with some calmer/quieter music, but that's just a matter of personal taste, really. It's a great addition to the area!”

“These guys know what they are doing. Sourdough pizza base… fluffy, light and crispy. The dough complements the pizza like it should. Some of the finest ingredients from Italy and you can definitely taste the quality for sure. As a chef I cannot compete or make better. And for sure this is my new favourite place to eat. They will see my and my wife again and soon! Service with a smile and it’s nice to see a owner of a business getting involved! I love it!”

The host of the game was very friendly and helpful, and the game we played was well thought out and the puzzles complex enough that we beat the game with literally 4 seconds left in the timer! There are a couple of other games in the venue so you can have different escape experiences if you want to return. I also liked the post-war theme, recommend!”
