Finsbury Park
“Finsbury Park is definitely one of our favourite parks in London. It has something for everyone including tennis and basketball courts. It is wonderful to see so many people enjoying the park. When the sun shows up, it is beautiful out there. There is a nice rowing lake at a reasonable price - £8/30mins per boat and none of the queues. We went for a row on the lake and hired 2 boats for the six of us. Life vests are provided for all kids and adults (if you need one). Lots of wildlife to see while maneuvering around the lake. The boating experience made for a beautiful and memorable day out with our friends.”
Biddestone Park
“They even clean up cigarette butts sometimes! On left side, homeless ppl water the wild fosters cans so they can grow into beer trees, sometimes you can even find people giving out flyers for the church cult thing down in Finsbury. Great place to watch pairs of people with SECURITY on their backs mask their facial expressions over a strong smell of weed. Corbyn, Britain's "most left wing" politician has been our MP since 1983, and Islington is the 14th largest wealth divided borough in England. If this park is all the economic equality "the left" can produce in 40 years of trying, we might have to go a bit further left.”
Caledonian Park
“Local park that has been transformed in recent years. Have seen the seasons change over lockdown. Great to see so many people using it.”
Rosemary Gardens
“Islington hidden treasure for a relaxation time. Good playground with a sandpit, water play area in summer and a lovely part of playground with grass. There are football pitch, tennis courts and ping-pong tables.”
Bruce Castle Park
“Very interesting history about the area. Fun and educational. Even for adults! Highly recommended. Will bring my teenage nephews next time.”
Croydon Road Recreation Ground
“Great place to catch a breath after work or just have a quiet walk in the evening. Plenty of benches to have a sit and read a book or contemplate life Park smells fantastic in the evening mid May ,when various plants start blossoming. Even during a sunny days , it doesn't get too busy. If u play tennis ,there are 8 courts at your disposal (you have to buy a membership which is only a small annual fee). Annoying things are dog owners that let their dogs run freely everywhere without leash - it shouldn't be allowed ( some time ago one dog grabbed my sandwich and the owner lady found it funny)”
Westwood Recreation Ground
“Very nice park and play area for kids... not huge park but beautiful”
Mayesbrook Park
“Amazing. Went in winter but still amazing. Renovation work is going on. May be they will finish by summer”
