Burger was scrumptious, portion was perfect for me (no sides so you may wanna add fries if you wish). Staff were super friendly. And what a lovely way to finish the meal with a complimentary ice cream. Would definitely suggest if you’re a steak fan!”

Grill Shack and Tiki Bar London
● Closed15 The Vale, London W3 7SH, United Kingdom“This is one of the best Haitian Food restaurants I have been to anywhere including in Haiti. PERIOD! The beautiful dinning room and bar really set the stage for what is to come. The drinks are excellent and top quality (try the rhum punch or the 15-year Barbancourt). The Haitian cuisine and presentation offered here is beyond amazing and beyond delectable. It should also be said the Anglophone Caribbean dishes on the menu are also very delicious. I have been here 4 times in the last two weeks and the wait staff has always been kind and responsive. Don't miss London's only and BEST Haitian Restaurant!”

Cento Uno
● Closed“Lovely little Italian restaurant in Surbiton. Despite arriving early to try and get a table, the place has a really good vibe and not to mention good food. (Place was fully booked but accepted walk in entries if there was last minute availability) Menu consists of starters, pizza choices, pasta dishes, specials and desserts. There are gluten free pasta and pizza base available, these are not made on the premises and is made by a separate company. There is a small additional charge for this. Pizza is made fresh in their impressively large pizza oven located in the restaurant. We were sat at the bar area around this pizza oven and it was lovely to see the pizza masters doing their thing with stretching the pizza dough. Great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks too. The place was clean and staff friendly and helpful. Will return.”

Pizza Pilgrims Waterloo
● Closed“When your Italian friend admits that the pizzas are good here, you know that this chain is doing something right. My first visit to Waterloo and the Margherita Buffalo was great. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and let us enjoy the pizza without constant interruption. They haven't expanded recklessly and keep both quality and consistency high. I occasionally try the guest pizzas when they don't have meat on them (pizza should never have weird meat or pineapple on it). So the Lower Marsh branch is laid back, has good outdoor space and I will return soon.”

Yoshi Sushi
● Closed“Had a lunchtime hankering for Korean. I've passed this restaurant many times and thought that it was a sushi restaurant. Anyway the portions are huge easily satisfy two people per serving. Service was friendly and fast but dishes came out of sequence i.e. the main came first, followed by the starter and lastly the rice for the main arrived. The food was hot and the meat dishes were sizzling. The price was a little pricey but the experience was worth it. Looking forward to those Japanese fried oysters next visit.”

● Closed“Now if you like Sushi, this is where you have to go if your in the area. Small little place hidden around the corner from the castle, doesn’t seem big from the outside but as you head upstairs you find a cosy little restaurant buzzing with a relaxed vibe. The menu selection is impeccable and I can honestly say, this is the best Sushi I have had in a very, I mean very long time. Generous portions, super fresh, very tasty and brilliant staff. They do takeout too, but I prefer to eat in!”

It maybe a little while before I return here as I live in Spain, but rest assured that this restaurant will be on my list very near the top”

Charcoal Edgware
● Closed“Mmmm shashlik! Tender, spicy but not hot spicy......make your mouth water spicy. Charcoal chicken wings. Not the skinny flappy bit but,the shoulder and bicep. A tiny sprinkle of fresh lemon juice drizzled into the munchable, tender chicken. The starter dip things.... FANTASTIC Turkish naan. Light and fluffy with a good outside crunch, dipped into fresh proper humus. A garlicy yoghurt dip thing. Grilled onion quarters in a pomegranate sauce. A fresh and tangy salad with tomatoes, cos lettuce, cucumber, onion. Often Turkish salads that I've had have just been sprinkled with vinegar which, can make them slightly bland. Not so Charcoal's salad dressing. Imagine a charcoaled meat selection served on a bed of rice with a chips border and a sort of thin, round flatbread covering to keep the aroma and heat contained. Lamb shish in very small, succulent cubes on wooden skewers. The charcoal chicken wings, shashlik, thin strips of doner.thick, tender lamb chunks. Add a glass of Turkish red wine (or three). Maybe some Turkish tea with something sweet for those of us who like the slightest perspiration invoked by overeating. Yes, they do takeaway. Yes they have all sorts of fizzy drinks. But, they are not your usual Turkish takeaway. This place is well worth a sit-down for an hour or so and serious, professional eating. Opposite Lidl so maybe, if you do some shopping in Lidl - you could park there. Personally, I think it's worth taking the Northern line and walking from Edgware statation. A couple of outside tables for those that need a quick cigarette or an afternoon cup of coffee and a baklava. I was introduced by a friend who is Turkish and himself a retired restaurateur. In the 20 plus years I have known him - he has always steered me to places that are good quality and not overpriced. This isn't a place with fancy carpets and bow tie waiters. It's like a mum n dad place who care and concentrate on flavour.”
