Tortilla Kingston
● Closed“Wow what a place!! Someone on a random whattsapp group told me to give this place a good review. Iv heard no one has been stabbed there which is a great bonus if your bringing the family. Half way through the meal a kindly horse was helping an old Mexican man eat his soup. Tirelessly attempting to scoop up the broth with his big powerful hooves. Wow.”

Little Hunan
● Closed“Delicious beyond belief. My favourite Chinese restaurante in London. This is exactly what Chinese food tastes like in China. Most of the time I think Chinese restaurants in Europe generally adapt flavours too much to match our taste, maybe a wrong impression. Not in this case though. The people were friendly and really nice.”

Poor Boys
● Closed“I’ve never eaten at Poor Boys but have ordered from here a number of times and they never disappoint. In my opinion this is the best takeaway option in Kingston if you’re looking for American food. It’s not cheap but the food is delicious and always cooked to a high standard. I wouldn’t order the calamari again as this doesn’t travel well, but everything else can easily be heated up on the oven without compromising the quality. I love the popcorn cauliflower and was really disappointed to see this isn’t available as a starter/snack anymore, but hope they’ll bring it back soon. I’m a meat eater but always loved ordering it as a great side! The Cajun fries are an absolute must too.”
-
Canbury Secret Cafe
● Closed“A gem in the park. Great coffee, unique savoury and sweet pastries. Ice cream selection is small but exceptional (made in fresh soft ice cream machines). Unbeatable on a sunny day with the river 20 meters away. The owners put great effort in every aspect of this place and it shows. Incredibly reasonable pricing.”

I was there working as a digital nomad during the day and despite the fact the young lady on the bar was alone in the morning, she went out of her way to check I was okay whilst managing other customers. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Food was delicious. Total gem of a place! I'll be back :)”

The Bishop
● ClosedOff Thames Street, Kingston Upon Thames KT1 1PY, United Kingdom“Great gastro pub food and excellent service from attentive, non pushy staff. Good menu selection includes veg/vegan. Booked for a Saturday late lunch for our 1 year anniversary and enjoyed decent steaks (1 rare, 1 med) with blue cheese sauce (on the side), fries and mushrooms. Very relaxed, despite it being quite busy we didn't feel rushed so enjoyed our drinks and took our time ordering dessert - one apple crumble (pictured) and a very sticky (good thing!) treacle tart with a (slightly small but proper) blob of whipped cream. Lovely early Christmas atmosphere.”
